Thrayir, Eyes of the Siren
In a fit of rage and despair, Thrayir conjured a storm that would ravage the land and annihilate Cyrce's enemies. After nearly ten thousand years, the seafury tempest continues to roil as an echo of his power.
How to get the Thrayir, Eyes of the Siren Mount
Thrayir, Eyes of the Siren is a new unique storm crow mount released with Siren Isle. In order to obtain this mount you will need to collect several rune-keys and take them to the runestones located underneath of Siren Isle.
Thunderous Runekey
To obtain the Thunderous Runekey you will need to collect 5 Thunderous Fragments. Thunderous Fragments drop from either Runed Storm Caches or Seafarer’s Caches.
Runed Storm Caches can be found anywhere on Siren Isle, no matter which phase you are in. They are however hidden. When you are in the vicinity of a hidden Runed Storm Cache you see a wind coming from your character. If you follow the direction of the wind it will lead you to the location of a cache. When you are close to the cache you get an extra action button, and when you use the button the cache will become visible. These caches are available from the first day in Siren Isle.
The Seafarer's Caches can be looted from the second week, after completing the Dipping a Toe quest which becomes available on week 2. These caches mostly spawn on the outside of the island, underwater, and can be easily looted by using the underwater breathing and movement speed you unlocked from wearing Cyrce’s Circlet and finishing the Dipping a Toe Quest.
Once you have all 5 fragments you can right click to combine them into the Thunderous Runekey, which is the first of 5 runekeys you need for the mount.
Entering the Storm
The other 4 runekeys are only located in the storm version of Siren Isle. In order to activate the storm version you will need to complete the weekly quest, which will be Legacy of the Vrykul, Serpent’s Wrath or Storm’s a Brewin. Once your weekly quest is completed, speak to Suzie Boltwrench who will phase you to the storm version of Siren Isle.
BEWARE a lot of the mobs are elite, and fairly strong, in the storm phase
Cyclonic Runekey
/way Siren Isle 33.21 73.61
The Cyclonic Runekey is looted from the rare Zek’ul the Shipbreaker, which is a large squid in the north west corner of Siren Isle. It is soloable but does take a little while. Alternatively, while waiting for the rare to spawn you can fish in the nearby water for a chance to also loot the Cyclonic Runekey.
Torrential Runekey
The Torrential Runekey can drop from any mob in the storm phase of Siren Isle. We suggest farming either the skeletons just outside the Forgotten Vault or the Crabs on the eastern part of the island.
Turbulent Runekey
The Turbulent Runekey is crafted by collecting 3 Turbulent Fragments from ghosts around the Siren Isle.
The first fragment is from a dirt pile just outside the Kultiran building near the center of the Island.
/way Siren Isle 38.11 51.75
The second fragment can be found in a cave in the south western corner of Siren Isle. It's a small gem on the floor.
/way Siren Isle 67.09 78.45
The third fragment can be found in a cove near the center of the island. It is being held by a ghost near the large crystal in the center of the cave, and you just take it out of his hand.
/way Siren Isle 52.37 38.60
Whirling Runekey
/way the forgotten vault 38.01 76.29
To obtain the whirling Runekey you need to kill the rare Ksvir the Forgotten. He is located in the Forbidden Vault in the furthest chamber. He is soloable, it just might take a while.
Obtaining Thrayir
Once you have obtained all 5 runekeys, go to the Forgotten Vault. In the east chamber you will find an untargetable bird on the floor (this must be done during the storm). Surrounding the bird are 5 runestones. Activate each one and Thrayir, the bird on the floor, will activate and give a quest rewarding you with Thrayir, Eyes of the Siren.
