Hey everyone, my name is Tactyks and welcome to Method’s Mythic+ spec and dungeon tier list for The War Within Season 3. A bit about me, I’m an avid M+ pusher who has achieved every single 0.1% title on top of competing in The Great Push as a tank player. I also create indepth M+, Raid, and Tank guide content over on my YouTube and Twitch channels, so make sure to stop by and say hi!

Tier List Disclaimers

This tier list will be attempting to rank the strength of each spec when it comes to Mythic+ content. Keep in mind this does not factor in player skill and can change quickly with both adjustments to dungeons as well as class tuning, and we will update this list as those things happen.

On top of this, it’s always important to remember that every single spec in the game is more than capable of accomplishing things like Keystone Master, Keystone Hero, and even the 0.1% title, so don’t feel forced to play a spec you don’t enjoy just because of a tier list. Bringing the best player almost always trumps bringing a more “meta” spec as an individual’s skill can close the gap between different specs.

Spec Rankings Explained

In terms of how the specs were ranked, here is the criteria used for each tier.

S Tier - Reserved for the specs with the highest throughput that also bring with them tools unique to their spec or class which is extremely impactful in this season’s dungeon pool. Expect these specs to be present in the vast majority of high key group compositions.

A Tier - Specs that have extremely high throughput but are slightly behind the S tier specs when it comes to either damage, durability, or utility. These specs will still be seen quite commonly on the leaderboard and remain strong picks.

B Tier - More niche specs that are powerful when used in the right hands, but tend to be lacking in at least one category relative to specs higher up in the list. You’ll still see these specs played at the top level, but they’ll be more uncommon than S and A tier specs.

C Tier - In the final tier we have specs that are below average when it comes to throughput, and often are being outperformed by other specs of the same class that bring the same or better utility, defensiveness, or damage. These specs will rarely appear near the top of the M+ leaderboard, likely played by specialists when they do.

Mythic+ Dungeon Tier List

For a ranking of general dungeon difficulty see the tier list and blurbs below. The easiest dungeons are in the S tier, increasing in difficulty until you get to the hardest dungeons in the C tier.

Ara-Kara - A returning dungeon from season 1, many players I’m sure will have nightmares of the final boss, however this had multiple significant nerfs going into season 3, making it one of the easier (and quicker) keys this season.

The Dawnbreaker - Similar to Ara-Kara, this dungeon has had a lot of the more difficult moments removed moving into season 3, so this is a great alternative if you want something a bit brighter!

Operation: Floodgate - This dungeon is mostly unchanged from the season 2 version, however there were some great quality of life adjustments including moving certain dangerous mobs and removing Bubbles entirely, which when combined with the better community knowledge of the key I think bumps this dungeon up the list a bit.

Priory of the Sacred Flame - Going into season 3 there have been a lot of nerfs to the right side of the dungeon, potentially reducing the overall coordination required if players opt to go that way instead of left. That being said, there’s still a lot going on in this key and it's very easy to wipe, so it remains one of the more difficult dungeons this season.

Eco-Dome Al’dani - The brand new dungeon being added this season, I can see there being a bit of a learning curve in the community as they learn the new boss and trash mechanics, but once figured out I think this may move up the list slightly.

Tazavesh: Streets of Wonder - Part 1 of the megadungeon, this is by far the longest dungeon this season with lots of room to pull unwanted and dangerous trash, similar to Priory. That being said I do think this dungeon isn’t as punishing, which is why it’s a bit higher on the list.

Tazavesh: So’leah’s Gambit - I think the second half of the megadungeon will be received better than the first, with minimal lethal mechanics and group damage relative to some of the other keys this season, making it one of the easier ones in the dungeon pool.

Halls of Atonement - It’s hard to rank Halls of Atonement right now as it has by far had the most drastic changes late in the PTR cycle, and depending on how things turn out I could see it moving up or down the list, so we’ll have to wait and see what happens.
