The Would You Kindly trophy in Assassin's Creed Shadows is a tricky one to do, despite the description making it seem simple.
Early on in the game, you'll learn about Contracts, and you'll probably do one as part of the tutorial part of the game. However, many players, including us in our review, never really gave them much thought after. Contracts offer up a way to basically grind XP, get Mon, supplies, etc. However, they are very repetitive and don't exactly offer the most engaging gameplay.
For the Would You Kindly Trophy, we are tasked with tackling these Contracts in a specific way, and if you want to get the trophy, it's best to do it as you go. See, while the trophy asks you to simply do a Contract in each region, it's a little more complicated than that, as you are limited to just three Contracts per season.
Although you can change a season when certain conditions are met, there is no way to speed up the time at which a season passes. That's because seasons are actually split into two parts. Effectively, you have early and late Summer (or any of the other seasons. While this gives you more chances to do things in a season, it also means that if you don't fast travel or change season yourself, then it can take a long time.
In this guide, we'll explain the best way to the Would You Kindly Trophy.
Would You Kindly Trophy Guide
"Complete a contract in each province." This is the simple task the games give us, with not much else to go on. The first barrier we will run into while trying to do the trophy is the fact that you can only do three Contracts per season, and, as many people have found out, seasons take a while to end, and there's no way to speed up the process. A good example of this problem that we ran into was doing our Legendary Sumi-e Location Trophy (Rare Occurrence Trophy), which also requires a shift in season.
Pro tip: These two trophies are great to do at the same time, as providing you don't fast travel a season won't change.
To find Contracts, you need to head to a local Kakurega. These serve as safehouses on the map. However, they remain hidden on the map until you approach closely, with at least one located inside each city. Each Kakurega costs 800 Mon to purchase but this can be reduced by upgrading your Kakurega in the Hideout. Within each Region's Kakurega, interact with the small wooden box (shown above) and select three contracts before tracking one until you complete at least one in every Region.
Contracts are typically very short activities and they tend to come in one of four of the following flavours:
- Assassinate the target
- Eliminate the targets
- Destroy the object
- Loot the item
The regions in question are the nine major locations on the map:
- Settsu
- Yamashiro
- Omi
- Iga
- Harima
- Wakasa
- Yamato
- Kii
- Tamba
Pro tip: As you progress in levels, the zones will evolve alongside you. However, the initial zones, Settsu and Yamashiro, will consistently be considered "easy." For instance, when we reached level 28, Settsu and Yamashiro remained at level 24, while Iga matched our level at 28.
Sadly, there is no way to track which regions you've done, so we suggest doing them in an order, possibly the one above, so you can track them more easily.
Once you complete one Contract in each region, the trophy/achievement will appear, and you'll be on your way. We have plenty of other Trophy Guides for you to continue your adventure.
