Mechanics
Marked for Torment
The only notable change on mythic is that Igira will now use 2 Weapons at the same time, instead of 1 like in Heroic. This will force you to deal with 2 weapon abilities at the same time.
Strategy
On Mythic Difficulty, we recommend soaking the weapons in the following order: Slicing > Flaying > Hacking.
The key to defeating Igira is correctly handling the Blistering Spears. Unlike Heroic where spear Health is fairly low and they get cleaved down instantly, Mythic Igira Spears require good placement and direct damage so you can free the players they were targeting.
Additionally, spears overlap with Twisting Blades, making it crucial that you free the players quickly, otherwise they might get gripped into the Blades which will mostly result in deaths.
To make things even more complicated, you will get more spear sets than on Heroic.
We suggest stacking 2 players per spear.
To properly stack the spears we suggest either using a WeakAura or BigWigs / Deadly Boss Mods auto-markers (check the setting in the boss mod addon settings).
Here is an example on how to do it with markers:
So once the players get marked, they simply run to the marker and pop a defensive. Usually, you should have no issues surviving double stacking without a personal, but it can get chaotic with so many markers and some players might just triple stack, this will very likely kill you without a defensive.
Additionally, I suggest assigning externals and defensives like AMZ, Darkness or Barrier on Spear sets, this will maximise survival chances for every possible scenario during spears. Nothing will kill players more in this fight than spears, making it important to do them correctly.
All other abilities will play out just like in Heroic, but you will just need to play them cleaner.
The main thing you should be doing to make things a bit easier and less chaotic is baiting the Jump.
Simply have your Mages/Hunters stand far away, to the back of the room, to bait the jump. This will give you extra time between the jumps to heal up and will spread out the swirls better.
You will get the jumps after Intermission 1 and 2.
Keep in mind that at the end of the fight, when you have the Absorbs and Tank soak combo. You will want to have all your players that DO NOT get targeted by the absorbs soak the Tank combo, and then on the next set, the players who previously had the absorbs, will do the tank soak instead.
This is probably the hardest point of the fight but the boss should be very low at this point, so you will have good odds of defeating Igira as long as some players survive it.
