Tier Set
- (2) Set Bonus: Consuming Clearcasting grants increased spell damage by 2% for 20 sec, stacking up to 10%.
- (4) Set Bonus: After consuming Clearcasting 3 times, your next Arcane Missiles consumes Arcane Battery, dealing 150% increased damage to your primary target and fires at up to 4 nearby enemies dealing 100% increased damage.
I think the 2p is definitely a bit on the weaker side, considering the fact we don’t emphasize on Clearcasting a lot. At first I thought the 4p would shift our gameplay towards more of Arcane Harmony even in AoE since our missiles are going to pulse cleave damage, however, the 4p unfortunately seems slightly undertuned and the Orb Barrage gameplay is still super strong and will therefore remain superior.
Personally I was hoping for a redesign for the Arcane tier set along with most of the other theory crafters, but at this point I won’t be surprised to see a buff to the tier set for either 2p or 4p.
Arcane Mage Best in Slot Gear
This is the absolute best in slot setup you could have combined from both M+ and raid items.
With that being said, we consider that not everyone enjoys raiding so I will make a list for alternative items you can get from M+ to be as geared as possible. Keep in mind that this is not a replacement for siming your character, as you will likely not have all these items at once, so to determine what is your next upgrade, always sim yourself.

Trinkets
With Season 4 Awakened Raids and the introduction of the new Antique Bronze Bullion system, we will gain access to a new (returning) selection of trinkets and weapons from across Dragonflight.
However, at the time of writing this, it’s hard to pinpoint which ones are going to be the best, with Blizzard making tuning before the patch was live and also during patch week. With that in mind, this is what I'd recommend are the best 3 items to get for both Mythic+ and Raid.
For Raid:
- Irideus Fragment: by far the best Arcane trinket.
- Ominous Chromatic Essence: good old statstick (trinket get stronger the different stats people are using).
For M+:
- Tome of Unstable Power
- Irideus Fragment - by far the best arcane trinket.
- Umbrelskul Fractured Heart - Just great trinket in M+ that Execute mobs lower than 5% hp
- Ominous Chromatic Essence - good old statstick (trinket get stronger with more people using it with different stats). If you don’t have other people in your party using this trinket take
- Vessel of Searing Shadow. A great trinket to proc the ring combo with the help from our Helm Enchant.
Embellishments
I will note the embellishments that recommend crafting (in order of value):
- Blue Silken Lining: 2x Mastery buff while above 90% Health2x Shadowflame for the Raid with Crit and mastery (on any low piece of gear you have, boots and belt can be good options)
- 1 Blue Silken + 1 Shadowflame would be the Ideal combo (and the safest Combo) for Raid and Maybe M+, however if u can keep up the buff from Double blue silken you will get more damage and value, however shadowflame helps to proc our rings combo which is always a nice thing.
- Potion Absorption Inhibitor: Increase Potion duration by 50% (very strong in M+)
- Alchemical Flavor Pocket: free embellishment that lets you keep your food buff through death, very good for M+ and Raid
