In Season 2 of The War Within, we will once again use Gilded Crests to upgrade our gear along the Heroic and Mythic track, and to craft the highest level profession gear. The new Gilded Crests are called Gilded Undermine Crests. Due to feedback from Season 1, Blizzard have increased the sources from which you can obtain Gilded Undermine Crests, you can now gain crests from higher difficulty level Delves.
Sources of Gilded Undermine Crests
Gilded Undermine Crests can be obtained from several sources including Raids, Dungeons and now Delves. We have broken down each of them below to help you target the content that best suits you.
NOTE: You can only receive a maximum of 90 Gilded Undermine Crests per week regardless of which content you chose to do. The cap is cumulative, so don’t worry if you miss a week, you will be able to catch up to the total cap by doing more content.
Mythic +
Gilded Undermine Crests can be obtained from doing keys at level +7 or higher. The amount of crests you receive is higher if the key level is higher.

Raids
The Liberation of Undermine raid will reward you with Gilded Undermine Crests on Heroic and Mythic difficulty. Most of them will come from Mythic Difficulty, where defeating a boss rewards 15 crests, additionally you will be able to loot 15 Gilded Undermine Crests from the last 2 bosses Mug’Zee and Chrome King Gallywix on Heroic difficulty.
Delves
New to Patch 11.1, Season 2, Delves will now reward Gilded Crests when completed on Tier 11 and higher, or Tier 8 when you have used a Delver’s Bounty. In order to receive the crests you must have lives remaining when you complete the delve. You can only receive a maximum of 18 crests from delves per week.
Trading Runed Undermine Crests
Once you have outgrown the use of Runed Undermine Crests, you can trade your excess Runed Undermine Crests for Gilded Undermine Crests. The Vendor is called Vaskarn, and they are located near the center of Dornogal. They exchange 45 Runed Undermine Crests for 15 Gilded Undermine Crests, working similarly to previous seasons.
