Dragonflight Season 3 sees the return of the items often referred to as “omni tokens” or Curios, allowing you to trade them in for any tier piece item that you want at that same difficulty level. Similar to Season 2, these tokens are rewards or drops from completing content milestones within Season 3.
The Season 3 tokens are the Emerald Mark of Mastery and Flame-Warped Curio. The Emerald Mark of Mastery awards a Heroic item-level Tier Piece when exchanged and the Flame-Warped Curio rewards the respective difficulty’s item-level from which it dropped.
Note: You can only acquire one Emerald Mark of Mastery, completing more than one of the achievements will not reward you with a second or third token as a reward.
How to get the Emerald Mark of Mastery & Flame-Warped Curio
Before you can exchange the tokens for a tier piece, you will need to acquire the Emerald Mark of Mastery or the Flame-Warped Curio for your character.
The Emerald Mark of Mastery has 3 different achievements that reward you with the token, but your character can only receive one token in total, even if you complete multiple of the achievements. Whereas, the Flame-Warped Curio is a regular loot drop, which means you can receive and exchange as many of them as you want; the Curio is also no longer a personal loot item, like it was in Season 2, you can now roll on it like any other item.
Token | Achievement | Source |
Emerald Mark of Mastery | Heroic: Amirdrassil, the Dream's Hope | Defeat all bosses in the Amirdrassil, the Dream’s Hope raid on Heroic difficulty (not just Fyrakk). |
Emerald Mark of Mastery | Dragonflight Keystone Master: Season Three | Achieve a Mythic+ Rating of 2000 during Dragonflight Season Three |
Emerald Mark of Mastery | Challenger II: Dragonflight Season 3 | Achieve a 1600 rating in any rated PvP during Dragonflight Season Three |
Flame-Warped Curio | A loot drop from Fyrakk (the last boss of the Amirdrassil, the Dream’s Hope raid). |
Where to exchange the token for a tier item
The vendors that you can trade your Emerald Mark of Mastery and Flame-Warped Curios with are located in the Wellspring Overlook in the Emerald Dream. Wellspring Overlook is the closest flight point on the map to the new raid entrance (Amirdrassil, the Dream’s Hope).
The two vendors you are looking for:
- Theozhaklos the Curious will exchange tier items for the Emerald Mark of Mastery
- Kirasztia will exchange tier items for the Flame-Warped Curio
Note: If you don’t plan on using the tier gear for PvP, make sure that you chose the correct type of tier. There is Heroic gear for PvE content specifically and Elite gear for PvP content. This season, the punishment for selecting PvP gear for PvE is less harsh, but it's worth not making that mistake and spending extra upgrades via crests and flightstones if you never plan to do PvP. And likewise, the PvP gear scales up in Arena and Battlegrounds, so don’t select the PvE gear if you plan to use it in PvP.
Good luck with whatever content you’re doing and looting your own omni tokens. We hope that this quick article helped you quickly get that new tier piece you earned!
