Tomcat is a skilled fencer and combat trainer in Kingdom Come: Deliverance II. He resides at the Nomad's Camp, west of Troskowitz and Zhelejov. He can teach you advanced swordplay techniques, including the Master Strike—a powerful counterattack move. Let me show you how to defeat Tomcat and learn the Master Strike technique:
Locate Tomcat
After completing the "Laboratores" quest, speak with Bara near the pillories in Troskowitz. She will mention Tomcat and provide a map marker to his location.
Travel to the Nomad's Camp, situated west of Troskowitz and Zhelejov. Tomcat can be found near the training arena within the camp.
Prepare for the Duel
Enhance your combat skills by completing side quests and training sessions to improve your weapon proficiency and stamina.
Equip appropriate gear, such as a one-handed sword and shield, to maintain agility and effective stamina management during the duel.
Buy a Bane poison of the vendor Aranka at the Nomads camp.
Engage in Training
Initiate basic training with Tomcat, where he will teach you fundamental fencing techniques and combos.
Complete the initial training by performing the required combo variations to Tomcat's satisfaction.
How to Defeat Tomcat in a Duel
Apply the Bane poison to your weapon and accept Tomcat's challenge to a duel.
Observe Tomcat's movements and avoid attacking from the side opposite his guard, as this is when he is most likely to execute a Master Strike.
Attack from the same side as his guard, reducing the chance of his counterattacks, to apply the poison. Once you see his HP (purple bar) slowly dropping all you have to do from now on is block his attacks with your shield and eventually you will have defeated Tomcat in a duel.
Learning Master Strike

How to perform a Master Strike:
