Where to Find Miller's Book for Opus Magnum in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2

Written by Geekmandem - 12th February 2025

As you progress through the main story, you might come across a strange fellow working at the local Mill. Miller Kreyzl, it turns out, is one of the two main ways your character can get to the wedding at the start of the game.

The difference with Miller is that he’s not quite what he seems at first. While Opus Magnum is a fairly long quest chain, acquiring the book can be slightly tricky.

Where is the Book for Miller Kreyzl

Miller book map location

Before we get into one of the weird scenarios that makes this book hard to acquire, we’ll first tell you where it is.

As the game says, the book is in Trosky Castle, but it isn’t that simple. The quest itself will send you around the castle trying to find out who has the book and what he might have done with it. However, you can simply go straight to the endpoint and pick up the book “Lightbringer’s Secret”

Miller book tower location

You’ll need to leave the castle to pick up the book, and head to the west side near the huge tower on the cliff. Walk around the castle and up to the white tower, on the right side, you’ll see Nikvard’s body and the book.

For Whom the Bell Tolls Quest Issue

If you do this quest while on the “For Whom the Bell Tolls” quest, then have no fear. It’s best to just ignore the Opus Magnum quest until you see out the Trosky Castle quests. We won’t spoil anything here, but you’ll have a chance to pick it up or just come back later.

You can figure out the clues, which will add some world-building to your game and also allow you to speak to a few NPCs; however, you can just go straight to the end of the quest.

FAQ

Do I need to get the Book?

Yes, to complete the quest, you will need to give Miller the book. Despite the condition the book is found in.

Can I get the Book Before the Main Story Quest?

From our testing, no. You can wait until you can leave the castle and pick it up right away. You’ll have plenty of chances to do it.

Should I Side With the Miller or the Bailiff

Personally, we doubled-crossed Miller, as we are an honourable Knight. He doesn’t meet a great end if you do, however, so you might want to side with him anyway.
