Other minis and map mechanics
The main map mechanic in Kashoch is the Freezing Winds that travel around the map, freezing any minis they touch - this includes Kashoch’s own minis! In Heroic, this freeze effect is permanent and does not expire. When a frozen unit is freed (in normal) or destroyed, it explodes, dealing 40 Elemental damage to all minis around it.
Kashoch’s only attack is to throw rocks that deal 200 Physical damage on a radius of 3 from the point of impact. This attack has a long range at 12, outranging everything except Meat Wagon with the range talent.
Kashoch is not easy to turn around because its targeting mechanic prioritizes not having to turn around over close distance, unlike most bosses.
General strategy
Swole Troll trivializes Kashoch. It cannot be frozen by the Freezing Winds, and it can therefore attack Kashoch without impediment. As long as you do not use Meatier Elbow talent, it will also ignore the frozen minis, going straight for the Tower and the boss.
Attack the left Tower with Swole Troll, support it as needed. Add more Swole Trolls from the Tower once you control it. Drop Unbound minis behind Kashoch after Kashoch has targeted the Swole Troll: if you drop them in the corner, the Freezing Winds will not touch them. Kashoch will not turn around as long as it has targets in front of it, so do not use Whelp Eggs for this but rather go for minis like Skeleton Party and Worgen.
You may need to defend your base sometimes, as occasionally some of Kashoch’s minis sneak past the Freezing Winds. Darkspear Troll or Mountaineer can solo a low-level base, so you need to take them out after they have committed to shooting at the base.
