The Hook, Line, and Swinger Trophy is an easy Bronze trophy to unlock with Naoe in Assassin’s Creed Shadows, once you know the right location and technique.
To unlock this trophy, you must stay airborne by swinging from one grappling hook point to another. In short, after swinging from one hook, you need to press jump at the peak of your swing and then press the grappling hook prompt as soon as it appears again. Successfully grappling to the second hook point will unlock the trophy in AC Shadows.
In this guide, we’ll show you how to unlock the Hook, Line, and Swinger Trophy in the Old Kofun. Keep reading to find out how!
Hook, Line, and Swinger Trophy Guide
Like the Kofun Raider and Acrobatics trophies, the Hook, Line, and Swinger Trophy can be unlocked deep within the Old Kofun. You can find The Old Kofun in the Izumi Settsu region, just North of Izumi Coast and East of Sakai.
Within the Kofun, just before reaching the Kofun Chest, you’ll need to grapple hook across a large chamber of water, using two grappling hook points to reach the platform on the opposite side.
Our Kofun Raider Trophy Guide will assist you in navigating the Old Kofun if you need help finding this large chamber.
How to Stay Airborne Between Grappling Hook Points
Once you step onto the platform at the start of the chamber, you’ll be prompted to use the grappling hook (L1 on PS5, LB on Xbox or Q on PC). Press to grapple and swing back and forth to build momentum.
When swinging forward, angle your view slightly upwards and press jump towards the end of the swing. Keep an eye on the next grappling hook point and as soon as the next grappling hook prompt appears, press to grapple hook again.
If done correctly, you will grapple to the second hook and swing towards the platform at the end of the chamber, which will unlock the Hook, Line, and Swinger Trophy.
Hook, Line, and Swinger Trophy Tips
- Naoe or Never: Naoe’s grappling hook is crucial for unlocking this trophy. Make sure you have Naoe selected when heading to the Old Kofun.
- Timing is Key: Make sure you’re timing jumps to perfection, when jumping from one swing to the next. A poorly timed jump may cause the grappling hook prompt to not appear, making you miss the second swing.
- Second Chances: If you miss the second grappling hook and fall into the water, find the tunnel at water level and follow this up to re-enter the chamber and try again.
