Assassin’s Creed Shadows will give you access to many cool options, one of which is the ability to change seasons. Doing this will have a significant effect on a lot of things, such as refilling resources, your opponents’ behaviour, and more.
There are four seasons in AC Shadows: Spring, Summer, Autumn, and Winter. Each one has a unique look and will change the environment around you, resulting in specific gains and losses. With that said, let’s see how to change seasons in the game and what the specifics are.
Assassin’s Creed Shadows - How to Change Seasons
Generally speaking, seasons will change automatically once you start playing and progress through the main story. In order to control the change of the seasons, you will have to complete the “An Unpayable Debt” quest.
After you have completed the quest, changing the seasons requires following three three steps:
- Go to the in-game menu.
- Select the tab called “World”.
- Hold the “Change Season” option located in the top-right corner.
Keep in mind that the manual season change will only be possible once your season progression bar is full or at least half-full.
Overview of The Seasons in Assassin’s Creed Shadows
Once the season changes, the first thing you will notice is that the environment around you looks different. Aside from the visuals, however, each season will bring changes to your capabilities.
When it is summer, for example, the grass will be taller, and there will be more bushes, so you can use them to hide. In the winter, you will have fewer places to hide, and your tracks will be visible in the snow.
Alongside that, changing the season in AC Shadows will result in the following:
- Resetting your wanted level
- Refreshing the enemy locations (as well as the local factions)
- Your scouts will retrieve any marked stockpiles of resources from a camp or a castle
- The scouts you have used for missions or getting resources will be replenished and ready for you to use again
