The Overdesign III Trophy is similar to the Final Hearing Trophy, though this one is a little harder to get right.
The name, Overdesign III, comes from the fact that it's the third time the trophy has appeared in the Assassin's Creed franchise. This is a fairly tricky trophy to get, requiring two different status effects to be active at the same time. Not only that, but they must be killed with a finisher. That part sounds complicated, but crucially, it will happen automatically if they are the last enemy alive.
Overdesign III Trophy
Daze and Poison Buildup Weapon
Unlike the Final Hearing Trophy, Naoe is the better option for this one. Yasuke can, of course, do it, but for the speed required, Naoe is a better option. The best way to do this is to have one effect on the Katana, and the other being the Tanto. You can also use Kusarigama, as it's a more varied weapon, but we found speed to be the best option. But if you only have access to a Kusarigama with the effect, then use that. It won't matter what Naoe build you use, just make sure you have the correct Weapon Effects.
Pro tip: Battle advanced foes or armoured opponents to simplify acquiring the trophy as it gives you more time to buildup the effects.
Pro tip #2: Using lower-level weapons can help. We used a lower-level first weapon to build up fast without killing the enemy.

Pro tip: You can also get armour that helps with this. As shown below, we had a Hood which made getting the trophy easier.
If you're lucky, you'll have these weapon effects in your inventory already. If not, you'll need to break one of our essential tips by buying an item from a merchant. You can also look around your map for any potential weapon upgrades that have Poison Buildup and one with Daze Buildup.
Unlike the Final Hearing Trophy, the hard part of the trophy starts now. Now, we need to buildup both the Daze and Poison effect under the enemy. Daze, will appear in gold, while Poison is purple. These effects will need to be "full" in order to work.
Pro tip: We found doing Daze first was the best option as the effect lasted longer.
You need to have the following effects on the target at the same time for the trophy to pop. Once you do, and the target dies with a finishers then you'll be done.
Overdesign III Trophy Tips
Pro tip: There is a Legendary perk that comes from the Bloodshade Katana, which causes Affliction Buildup to not drop off. This makes the trophy even easier.
- Use lower-level weapons so that you don't kill enemies too fast
- As you need to build up two effects, don't use abilities to get the kill
- You don't need to kill the enemy with the poison effect; they just both need to have finished
- Yasuke can do this trophy; however, due to the speed, Naoe is easier
- Fighting enemies with armour makes the trophy easier, as you can build up the Poison and Daze Effect on them while taking down their armour
- Using Engraving effects that increase the buildup time or increase the duration of effects can help here. Head to the Forge to add these to your items.
This trophy has a sister trophy, the Final Hearing Trophy, which requires you to do the same but with just the Bleed Effect active. The Final Hearing is much easier, so you can do that right after.
