Written by Geekmandem - 26th March 2025

To complete the Suture Self Trophy and Achievement, you'll need to do go through a few steps, including Hideout upgrades, finding tea cups and visiting finding food stalls.

To earn the Suture Self Trophy, you must construct two buildings in your Hideout, the “Zashiki” and the “Tea Room”. You also need to complete the side quests “Feast for Thought” and "Tea Bowls of Rikyu".

Unlock the Zashiki

To unlock the Zashiki building, you'll need to complete the side quest “The Iron Hand Guild,” which is started in Izumi Settsu.

The "The Iron Hand Guild" quest will require you to track down a number of merchants. You can decide to kill or spare them, either way the quest will be completed.

Once that's done, head to the Hideout and construct the Zashiki building.

Unlock the Tea Room

The Tea Room unlocks through the side quest “Tea Bowls of Rikyu." It becomes accessible automatically in Act 1 and is listed under the objectives menu as “People of Yamashiro” then under the character “Sen no Rikyu." To unlock it, you'll need to collect 7 tea cups, 6 of which can be purchased from merchants located on the map across various regions. The 7th cup is earned by defeating Shinbakufu member “The Wise," which is a high-level quest that occurs in Act 2, so you'll need to wait until later in the game to complete it.

We've mapped out all the Tea Bowl locations for you to make things easier.

Feast For Thought Quest to Find all 16 Local Dishes

The Feast for Thought quest is automatically accepted and added to the objectives board as you progress through the main story. You can find it under the People of Wakasa objective and the character Hong. Much like collecting the tea cups, you need to gather 16 food quest items by visiting each food vendor in the game.

Pro tip: Enable guided mode to make this quest easier, as it will reveal the location of food vendors.

Suture Self Reward

Following this, you will achieve 80% healing from rations, along with 11 rations for Yasuke and 9 rations for Naoe, and the trophy will be unlocked. It doesn't matter what order you do things in.

FAQ

Does the Order you do The Sections Matter?

No, you can do the quests in any order, though the Feast for Thought will likely be the last.

Do you have to Place Down the Buildings?

Yes, you must place the buildings in the Hideout to trigger the trophy. Simply unlocking them is not enough.

How long does it take to get this Trophy?

This trophy is not quick, and it will take you well into the 30+ hour range. If you just b-line for it, you might get it done faster, but as it requires you to be around level 40+, it won't be quick.
