Tier Sets
The War Within Season 2 Augmentation Evoker Tier Set:
- 2 Set: Your damaging spells have a chance to hit a Jackpot!, causing an Upheveal at 100% effectiveness that does not knock enemies up. Casting Breath of Eons always hits a Jackpot!
- 4 Set: Your Upheavals have a 50% chance to grant Essence Burst. Eruptions cast with Essence Burst deal 25% increased damage.
These Set-bonuses look quite promising. They shift a portion of Augmentations overall damage to the player themself which usually feels good. Also Eruption synergizes with many parts of our kit.
augmentation evoker Best in Slot Gear
The tables below aim to give you a general list of gear that is good for Augmentation Evokers, these lists are not a perfect replacement for simming your character.
Overall Best Gear
If you are planning to use Breath of Eons not as a 2 min cooldown, it can be better to play House of Cards instead of Eye of Kezan and change weapons to Blastfurious Machete paired with Operator’s Fraud Detector.

Trinkets
Trinkets for Augmentation are a bit different from other “normal” dps specs. Depending on the damage profile of the classes you want to buff, different trinkets can perform better or worse.
When playing Best-In-Slots, it’s better to go for 2x passive trinkets.
Some good on use trinkets are:
Signet of the Priory - Simple stat stick with a 2 minute on use effect that buffs your highest secondary stat and also nearby allies by the same stat but a smaller number.
Soulletting Ruby - Another 2 minute on use effect trinket that rewards you with additional stats when used on a low hp target.House of cards - 1.5 minute on use effect that gives you mastery and increases the amount of mastery gained the more times you use this trinket during an encounter. Although it is a 1.5 minute trinket, the amount of stats it provides makes it better than the 2 minute options.
Some good passive trinkets are:
Eye of Kezan - By far the best passive trinket when it comes to raiding. It stacks intellect and deals damage when fully charged. Note that the buff decreases out of combat. Take that into consideration when picking this trinket.
Mug’s Moxie Jug - This one is super simple. Cast spells and gain extra crit when it procs. Works completely on its own and doesn’t tax any brainpower.
Entropic Skardyn Core - After a recent change the orbs the trinket spawns will travel towards you so it’s just a passive crit stat stick that procs intellect.
Synergetic Brewtalizer - Randomly spawns barrels which you can oneshot with any ability. When killed, the barrel will deal damage to nearby enemies.
Embellishments
The biggest quick power gain would be to craft a 2 handed weapon (Vagabound’s Bounding Baton, Charged Invoker) with a Darkmoon Sigil: Ascension on it. Double the bonus by crafting a Writhing Armor Binding on any low item level piece your character currently has, usually cloaks and wrists are a good slot. You can also choose to craft a Binding of Binding instead of the Writhing Armor Binding.
As soon as you get your hands on the BIS weapon Best-in-Slots you want to recraft both embellishments to Dawnthread Lining. Long term the best slots for this are cloak and wrists
Puzzling Cartel Chips
When it comes to the Puzzling Cartel Chips, short “Dinars” there are two things to take into consideration. First and foremost the strength of the item itself and in relation to that, the rarity, or let’s say the chance of you getting that item without using a Dinar for it. Always remember that if you loot an item from the list you can just cross out the ones you already have and spend your Dinars on the other items.
Augmentations Shopping list is quite simple. The only variance that has to be taken into account is if you are going to kill Mythic one armed bandit or not. If you do so, replace the Jastor Diamond with Mythic Best in slots. If you don’t, a Mythic crafted weapon will beat Heroic best in Slots and therefore should be prioritized,
- Best in Slots (Mythic Only)
- Mug’s Moxie Jug
- Eye of Kezan
- The Jastor Diamond
Corruptions
With corruptions coming back in 11.1.5 we once again have the chance to enhance our character with special effects and buffs.
There are two Corruptions that stand out above the others.
Lesser/Greater Rune of Gushing Wound: This is the go-to corruption for any kind of PVE content.
Spells have a chance to make your target bleed over 7 seconds. Enchant your helmet with it and you’re good to go! Class gameplay and rotation are not affected by this corruption.
Lesser/Greater Rune of Twilight Devastation: For heavy aoe or Mythic+ dungeons Twilight Devastation gets quite competitive with Void Ritual. Although playing Twilight Devastation affects class gameplay with 2 major points.
- Twilight Devastation beams spawn in front of you and slowly fade forwards so you have to position properly to gain its full value
- Twilight Devastation beams can pull enemies that are out of combat, make sure to avoid facing nearby packs that could get pulled if Twilight Devastation procs.
Best D.I.S.C Belt & Miniature Titan Disc Effects
This belt is an upgrade even at its base item level of 691.
Recommended Titan Discs for Augmentation Evoker:
When using the D.I.S.C. belt you want to socket it with the Static Charge power for all content.
For more information about unlocking the DISC belt and the different Miniature Titan Disc effects available, check out Method's D.I.S.C Belt Guide.
Cyrce's Circlet
Going into 11.1 this Ring will still be very powerful for quite a long time. I highly suggest everyone to run a simulation on raidbots to find out when this ring is outperformed by other options. As a guideline other rings will usually be stronger as soon as they are mythic track rings. When using Cyrce’s Circlet you want to socket it with the following gems for any kind of content.
- Singing Thunder Citrine: Stormbringer's Runed Citrine
- Singing Sea Citrine: Fathomdweller's Runed Citrine
- Singing Wind Citrine: Windsinger’s Runed Citrine
