Dragonflight Season 2 is continuing the trend of the last few seasons by including a variety of older dungeons to become part of the Mythic+ rotation, bringing with them a brand new set of challenges!
The Dragonflight Season 2 Dungeons are:
- Vortex Pinnacle
- Neltharion's Lair
- The Underrot
- Freehold
- Halls of Infusion
- Brackenhide Hollow
- Neltharus
- Uldaman: Legacy of Tyr
The first challenge, for players who haven’t experienced these dungeons before, or that have forgotten where they are (like me), can be where to find the location of the dungeon entrances. For Mythic+ difficulty, you are going to have to go to the dungeon entrance to enter the instance.
Because of that, here is our handy list of all the Dragonflight season 2 dungeon entrances and some tips on how to get there as fast as possible, so your tank doesn’t get annoyed at people taking too long to arrive.
Note: During Dragonflight Season 2, the Valdrakken Portals have been changed to Uldum, Nazmir and Tiragarde Sound. Located just in-front of the Bank.
Badlands Portal in Valdrakken
They also added a random Badlands portal in Valdrakken. The location for the Badlands Portal can be seen below on the map, in The Obsidian Enclave part of Valdrakken.
Vortex Pinnacle Entrance Location
Vortex Pinnacle is back from Cataclysm, and extends the interesting precedent that Blizzard is going further back to convert more of the older dungeons into Mythic+ versions.
The entrance to the Vortex Pinnacle dungeon is located in Uldum, in the southernmost point of Kalimdor. The dungeon is at the bottom of Uldum, in one of the floating structures high-up in the air.
The Vortex Pinnacle Summoning Stone is at the top of the stairs, underneath the roof. Effectively, above and behind the entrance to the dungeon.
How to get to The Vortex Pinnacle
Note: You can use the portals in Valdrakken to get here.
Alternatively, you can quickly get there by going to Orgrimmar (Horde) or Stormwind (Alliance), and taking the portal to Uldum directly.
The Uldum portal is located at the top of the Valley of Wisdom in Orgrimmar, or, if you are an Alliance player, you will find the cataclysm portals close to the Stormwind Keep.
When you are through the portal, you can then fly down to the Vortex Pinnacle dungeon entrance shown in the section above.
Neltharion’s Lair Entrance Location
Neltharion’s Lair is coming back from Legion to make a reappearance in the Mythic+ dungeon rotation. This winding, lava-filled, cavernous dungeon is located at the Northernmost part of the Broken Isles, in the Highmountain zone.
You can take the flight path from Dalaran to the Thunder Totem village, and from there just fly over the mountain to the other side.
The Underrot Entrance Location
Another amazing dungeon making a reappearance from Battle for Azeroth is Underrot. The dungeon entrance is located at the heart of the Zandalar Empire, in the middle of Nazmir.
Note: You can use the portals in Valdrakken to get here.
After you get close, just get to one of the lower areas and in the deepest one you shall find the entrance!
Freehold Entrance Location
Another community favorite dungeon is coming back from Battle for Azeroth, and that is Freehold!
The pirate-filled port is located in the South of Tiragarde Sound, in Kul Tiras.
Note: You can use the portals in Valdrakken to get here.
Alternatively, for Horde players, you will need to take the ship to Tiragarde Sound by talking to the Dread-Admiral Tattersail NPC, located at the wheel of the Banshee’s Wail ship at the port in Dazar’alor. This will take you to Tiragarde Sound, and you can fly from there. Alliance players can fly there from their faction hub, Boralus.
Halls of Infusion Entrance Location
The Halls of Infusion is one of the 4 new Dragonflight dungeons that didn’t get into the Season 1 Mythic+ dungeon pool, but now we can experience it in its full glory!
You can find the entrance underneath Tyrhold, the massive Titan-made facility between Valdrakken and the Vault of the Incarnates. The dungeon entrance is on the right hand side at the lowest level of the structure, requiring you to fly down through the gap to access the lower levels.
Brackenhide Hollow Entrance Location
Brackenhide Hollow is another one of the new dungeons that we got for the launch of Dragonflight, and it features one of the most unique aesthetics that we think Azeroth has to offer.
It is located in Iskaara, the remote village of the Tuskarr, at the Southwestmost point of the Dragon Isles, deep into the Azure Span tundra.
The entrance to Brackenhide Hollow is at the end of the little pier structure, a little bit off to the right, outside the main part of the village.
Neltharus Entrance Location
The legendary Forge of the Black Dragonflight, Neltharus holds many secrets and a great adventure for those brave enough to enter the Qalashi controlled dungeon underneath the Obsidian Citadel.
The entrance to the Neltharus dungeon is at the base of the main tower of the Obsidian Citadel.
Uldaman: Legacy of Tyr Entrance Location
The old Titan facility of Uldaman is once again the setting of an epic quest to recover Keeper Tyr’s memory Disc.
This new Dragonflight dungeon can be found right next to the original Uldaman entrance, all the way back in Vanilla!
Don’t forget that the entrance to the new dungeon is the top right one.
How to get to Uldaman: Legacy of Tyr
You can get to the dungeon location quickly by first going to Orgrimmar (Horde) or Stormwind (Alliance), and taking the portal to Twilight Highlands. You can take a portal in Valdrakken to your faction’s capital city.
The Twilight Highlands portal is located at the top of the Valley of Wisdom in Orgrimmar, or, if you are an Alliance player, you will find the portal close to the Stormwind Keep.
When you are through the portal to Twilight Highlands, you can then fly to the top of the Badlands, to the dungeon location shown on the map in the section above.
We hope you enjoy the new Mythic adventures in Season 2 of Dragonflight!
