Embellishments were originally released in dragonflight, they are crafted items with additional effects. In The War Within embellishments are a little less impactful that during Dragonflight, both due to the reduced maximum item level of crafted gear and just generally being weaker.
However, crafting embellishment gear can be a great way to get a nice power boost on your character.
Patch 11.1 introduced a couple of new embellishments for us to use.
The Embellishment System
The Embellishment system has remained unchanged from Dragonflight meaning you can only equip 2 embellished items, this includes items that are crafted through Optional Reagents or items that already have an embellishment when crafted.
How to craft Embellished Items
All embellished items are crafted through professions. If you do not have the required profession, you can always make a crafting order for the item that you want. If you need optional reagents, make sure you add them when making the order. The quality of the optional reagent does not affect the strength of the embellishment. It does however reduce the recipe difficulty, making it easier to craft at higher quality, which correlates to which item level you get. The higher the item level of the item is, the stronger the embellishment is.
Removing an Embellishment from Crafted Gear
It is possible to remove an Embellishment from crafted gear with optional reagents. To do this you need to find Griftah who is located in Dornogal and purchase a Griftah's Heavy-Duty Embellishing Powder, you can then place a recrafting order and place the Griftah's Heavy-Duty Embellishing Powder in the embellishment slot.

Nerubian Embellishments
Nerubian Embellishments are a special type of Embellishment that are improved when your second embellishment is a Writhing Armor Banding. You do not need to wear the writhing armor banding for the Nerubian Embellishment to function.

Optional Reagent Embellishments
These are the Embellishments options available as Optional Reagents:
