While exploring the Undermine in Patch 11.1, you may have noticed trash icons appearing on the map. These are S.C.R.A.P heap locations. When you head there, you can shovel trash to earn rewards such as: Valorstones, Resonance Crystals, Crafting Materials and even a Mount.
How to Shovel Trash
To start the event a single player has to talk to Carlo Greasegrind, at the S.C.R.A.P heap location he is currently at, marked by the trash icon on the map. Once the event has started a 2 minute timer begins during which time players can shovel trash. You don’t need anything special to shovel. You just click on the trash when you are nearby.
The more trash you shove the more the progress bar fills, once you reach 500 the rare Gallagio Garbage will spawn.
At any point during the 2 minutes players can choose to activate the S.C.R.A.P. Bot nearby, by talking to it and paying up to 100g, shared across all contributing players. This does not grant you additional rewards, the robot just assists in increasing the progress bar.
While shoveling trash certain small events happen:
- Blue Circles - Blue Circles grant a buff that increases the speed at which you shovel for 1 minute, so make sure to jump in one if you don’t have the buff currently.
- Satchels - A group of green sachets will spawn and prevent players from shoveling while they persist, these can be removed by clicking on them and a small cast will happen.
- Green Circles - Green Circles spawn near the trash heap and deal moderate damage and knockback players interrupting shoveling.
- Flame Patches - Flame Patches spawn near the trash heap and prevent players from shoveling while they persist. You simply need to run over them to put them out.
- Bombs - Several bombs spawn around the trash heap and fixate players. They can be clicked to kick them away and detonate them. Fixated players can not shovel trash while fixated.
- Enemies - Enemies can spawn and will attack players interrupting players from shoveling. Players in combat can not shovel trash.
Once the 2 minutes has concluded, one of three boxes will spawn based on the progress bar that players managed to reach, 0-150 the Half-Empty Bag, 151-350 the Dented Crate and 351-500 the Uncovered Strongbox. These contain Gold, Valorstones and rarely additional cosmetic items.
