Tier Sets

Shado-Pan Season 3 Windwalker Monk Tier Set Bonuses:

  • (2) Set Bonus: Flurry Strikes deal 20% more damage and activating Storm, Earth, and Fire instantly grants 10 stacks of Flurry Strikes that trigger on your next attack at 70% effectiveness.
  • (4) Set Bonus: Flurry charge generation is increased by 50% and Flurry Strikes triggers every 120 energy spent during Storm, Earth, and Fire.

Conduit of the Celestials Season 3 Windwalker Monk Tier Set Bonuses:

  • (2) Set Bonus: Heart of the Jade Serpent additionally triggers for 4 sec at 100% effectiveness after you cast Slicing Winds.
  • (4) Set Bonus: Heart of the Jade Serpent increases your haste by 10% while active and for 4 sec afterwards.

These bonuses drastically change how you approach each hero talent gameplay wise.

For Shado-Pan, you want to maintain 20 stacks of the Against All Odds buff by pressing Tiger Palm every other global inside your cooldowns.

For Conduit of the Celestials, you want to try not to stack your Heart of the Jade Serpent from Slicing Winds with the one you gain from Celestial Conduit. However, the Heart of the Jade Serpent Window from Strike of the Windlord can stack with the one from Slicing Winds resulting in drastically increased CDR and lower Fists of Fury channel time.

The end result is that you transition to a sort of ‘Blackout Kick-less’ build where the CPM (Cast per Minute) of Blackout Kick goes from somewhere around 8-9 to 2-3 because of the amount of CDR you have causing you to press Fists of Fury and Rising Sun Kick much more often.

    • Good: Lily of the Eternal Weave, Unyielding Netherprism

    Recommended Passive Trinkets:

    • Best: Astral Antenna, Ara-Kara Sacbrood, Improvised Seaforium Pacemaker
    • Good: Sigil of the Cosmic Hunt, Incorporeal Warpclaw, Empowering Crystal of Anub’ikkaj

    Embellishments

    Recommended Embellishments:

    • Belt or Wrists with Writhing Armor Banding
    • Weapon with Darkmoon Sigil: Ascension

    Alternative Embellishments:

    • Belt & Wrists with Duskthread Lining
    • Belt & Wrists with Elemental Focusing Lens

Note: This choice comes down to your weapon and loot situation. With the continued scaling of 2-handed weapons in 11.2,the introduction of the Reshii Wraps artifact cloak, and the boots from Soul Hunters; there’s a good chance you need to place your embellishments elsewhere and with the limitation of Darkmoon Sigil: Ascension being only available on weapons, you may choose the alternative below. Dusk/Dawnthread Lining pulls ahead in multi-target situations where Elemental Focusing Lens is slightly better on single-target.

    Reshii Wraps

Reshii Wraps is a new Cloak released in Patch 11.2 and will be the only cloak you use (and the only one that can drop from any content in Season 3). You gain access to it via a quest chain and completing chapter 3 of the main patch storyline.

The Reshii Wraps are upgradable via Ethereal Strands and can have secondary stats of your choice added to it.

To add a secondary stat to the Reshii Wraps you use a Fiber in the Fiber Socket of the Cloak. The highest quality version of the Fibers requires a work-order to a Tailor.

When picking a Fiber, I strongly recommend simming your character for the best stat for your current gear and intended content. If you just want a quick recommendation for which Reshii Fiber to use, then use Pure Energizing Fiber (Mastery).

To find out more about the Reshii Wraps, you can read the Method Reshii Wraps Overview Guide.

D.I.S.C Belt & Best Miniature Titan Disc Effects

Newly added in patch 11.1.7, the DISC Belt (or Durable Information Securing Container) comes from Overcharged Delves and starts at 691 ilvl and scales up to 701 ilvl. In Patch 11.2, this belt will become outscaled roughly around max Heroic item level (710) or so and you’ll be replacing it with a crafted belt.

Recommended Titan Discs for Windwalker Monk:

    • All Content (Conduit of the Celestials): Critical Chain (Possible alternatives for Conduit are: Spark Burst/Electric Current)
    • Single Target (Shado-Pan): Spark Burst
    • Mythic+ (Shado-Pan): Critical Chain / Electric Current / Static Charge

As always, you should sim your character for the most accurate recommendations for your setup. As of the 6/24 DISC tuning, the best Titan Disc effect can depend on your gear so simming is even more important.

For more information about unlocking the DISC belt and the different Miniature Titan Disc effects available, check out Method's D.I.S.C Belt Guide.
