Meet the new Method Guild

Ever since Method announced our organisation’s rebuild in early October, we’ve been hard at work rebuilding our World of Warcraft guild too. The guild is the cornerstone of our fifteen year legacy, and it will remain core to who we are for years to come. As with every step we take with our rebuild, we’re doing everything we can to make sure we get it right.

To rebuild our guild, we focused on recruiting members that not only demonstrate unmatched competitive drive but those who are also committed to living our values, both on stream and in real life. Five weeks later, we’re proud to say that Method is back and ready to take the next step on the Road to World First.

How the Guild Came Together

We started by launching our Road to World First project and opening up applications for talented, driven raiders who wanted to be part of the new Method guild. We were extremely humbled to receive hundreds of applications from community members who wanted to join our guild, represent Method and compete at the highest level in the world.

Over the last five weeks, we’ve reviewed every single Road to World First application and scouted the top guilds and leaders, past and present, to make sure we were tapping into the best talent possible.

Ultimately, we selected nearly half of the new Method guild from our community applicants, and we filled out the remaining half with members from Reason’s core lineup, a guild that’s been together since the first major raid in WoW Classic (Molten Core) and has shown great momentum during recent raiding tiers while slowly increasing their raiding hours, making them a strong fit for Method.

Each one of our guild members has gone through a rigorous screening process that is now standard at Method. This included interviews, criminal background checks, public social media checks, and anti-harassment and anti-discrimination training. Each one of our guild members has also committed to upholding our code of conduct as they represent the Method black-and-orange in competitive play, in content, and in their personal brands.

Our goals for the guild are twofold: to be competitive and contend for World First, and to create content that showcases our guild’s progress and gives back to the WoW community.

It’s going to take work, but we’re confident in our guild’s drive, their abilities, and their commitment to excellence. And we can’t wait to see what lies ahead on the Road to World First!
