We finally got some more concrete info on the big tier capper that is Nighthold: January 17th is the big opening (or the "aimed at" opening, to be exact), with Mythics arriving the week after, as per usual. The top guilds can now start planning their holiday breaks, food/drink stockpile plans and farewells to loved ones who won't get to see them for a week (or hopefully two or three).
Nighthold is shaping up to be one of the most anticipated and hyped progress races to date, with how Emerald Nightmare and Trial of Valor played out, so our greatest hope for it would be for all the bugs and exploitable mechanics to be fixed so there's no more drama and just a clean race!
Here's the blue post:
As the holidays approach, we wanted to take a chance to share some information on an upcoming raid tuning adjustment as well as the release date for Nighthold.
Trial of Valor will see a set of tuning adjustments next week, focused mainly on Heroic and Mythic difficulty, which should help groups overcome the challenges of the Trial as they prepare for Nighthold.
Which brings us to the release date for Nighthold itself: We are aiming to unlock Normal and Heroic Nighthold on January 17, 2017. Raid Finder wings and Mythic difficulty will release during the weeks following, which we will share more specific details on at a later time.
We look forward to seeing you in the Nighthold!
