BDGG have defeated Raszageth the Storm-Eater world 4th!
Method have defeated Raszageth the Storm-Eater world 3rd!
BDGG with a 2.08% wipe, that's got to hurt, but they are so close! It could go down any pull now!
A 10.6% wipe for Method and BDGG enter p3.
BDGG has a heart breaking wipe at 7.39% this race for 3rd is going head to head and down to the wire with Method closer to the end of their raid day than BDGG. This is getting exciting, checkout both teams streams.
Method has a new best of 3.27%.
BDGG have completed their reclear they will now be back onto Raszageth.
Method has a new best of 6.93% after 384 pulls. BDGG are currently going through mythic re-clear.
BDGG has a new best of 15.6% after 336 pulls. Method is currently sitting at the best pull of 13.2% after 374 pulls. Method is well aware that it is reset day for the NA. Meaning that 1 of 2 things could happen, 1 being BDGG have their vault loot and extend to go right back to Raszageth or they re-clear mythic and then smash through Raszageth. Are the folks in black and orange, Method, feeling the pressure? From the raid atmosphere over coms everyone seems really relaxed and ready to claim world 3rd.
It's my opinion that we will see a world 3rd kill today.
A brief round-up.
Method - 43.4% BDGG - 44.9% 天涯 (Skyline) - 49.4% 火锅超界 (Huo Guo Chao Jie) - 64.7% 秩序七煌 (KeaHoarl) - 69.4% Instant Dollars - 92.7%
BUT VERY HEARTBREAKING WIPE FOR FatSharkYes - Broodkeeper Diurna 0.01%, their previous best was 5.66% while Aversion is at 19.3% at the same boss.
A quick update on our two top teams pushing for world 3rd. Method has the best pull of 43.4% after 341 attempts. BDGG after 291 pulls have the best attempt sat at 45.6%

Method have recently hit a new best on Raszageth of 56.7% (pull 180). They are currently on pull 182.
Jitianhong have defeated Broodkeeper Diurna
Method are back after their break and continue progress on Mythic Raszageth. 155 pulls in total, with a best attempt of 64.8%. Once they break through the intermission, this best should drop by a significant amount, as shown by the top 2 guilds progression (Echo and Liquid).
Huo Guo Chao Jie have defeated Broodkeeper Diurna, World 7th, Asia 2nd.
Method have started their raiding for today, with an adjusted schedule.
Instant Dollars takes World 5th / NA 3rd Mythic Broodkeeper Diurna in 71 pulls and Skyline takes World 6th / CN 1st in 93 pulls! Congratulations to all those gamers and good luck on Raszageth!
An incredible day 11 for this Race to World First: Vault of the Incarnates!
We not only saw a world-first kill by Echo after 258 pulls but we all saw Liquid take home the world second after 367 pulls. A huge congratulations to both of these goliath teams.
We now bring our attention to the race for world third! We see Method currently sitting on a best of 64.82% after 140 pulls. They will be returning on the 24th of December with an adjusted schedule to accommodate their raiders who will be celebrating Christmas on this day, which for those that are interested or didn't know they are celebrating the time that Sinterklaas aka Santa Claus, is flying over the earth. The same can be said for BDGG who currently sat on the best pull of 64.72% after 150 pulls. They won't be raiding at all on the 24th of December and only half of the 25th, as of yet we are unsure what Method has planned for that day.
On a more personal note, I hope you have enjoyed these recaps as much as I have enjoyed writing them. For now, I wish each and every one of you a Merry Christmas, a Happy Holidays a safe and happy festive period.
Method has head offline for today, returning tomorrow on an adjusted schedule to continue progress whilst also taking breaks for festivities.
Liquid have defeated Mythic Raszageth World 2nd, US 1st!
Liquid have a 0.35% wipe on Mythic Raszageth. They are so incredibly close, any pull will be a kill!
Liquid have another really close attempt, wiping at 3.71%. Checkout their streams, we expect the boss to drop any pull now!
FatSharkYes is pushing more EU wins to the board! They just defeated Mythic Kurog Grimtotem, after 67 pulls, securing World 11th, EU 4th!
And let's not forget, that BDGG and Method are still on! They are literally tied on pull count AND percentage!
Due to crazy climate issues we are not sure if BDGG will be able to raid today, but for now, Method is ready to pull the boss again after a break!
Echo has claimed World First, but Liquid is far from defeated! They literally just halved their best percentage so far in the first pull of the day. They are now sitting at 7.7% after 350 pulls!
What an unbelievable performance from the NA squad, still feeding the flame of this amazing race!
Echo get World First, Defeating Mythic Raszageth!
Aversion have defeated Kurog Grimtotem, World 10th, EU 3rd.
Echo are getting ever closer, with a new best attempt of 8.34% on pull 249! Echo are known to be very good at pushing these tight damage checks, so you certainly don't want to miss the next pulls! This is the furthest into Raszageth Phase 3 that we have seen so far.
Method new best of 64.99% after 59 pulls.
Just a shoutout to some of our teams here that have raised so much money for charity.
- Method raising money for Save The Children - https://www.twitch.tv/method
- Echo raising money for Rise Above The Disorder - https://www.twitch.tv/echo_esports
- Liquid raising money for Ocean Conservancy - https://www.twitch.tv/teamliquid
These teams have been doing an amazing job and a big thank you to them for doing what they do.
Echo are up and starting their day on mythic Raszageth progress! With Liquid currently holding the best % before they went to bed. Echo knows that the pressure is on, are they feeling it? Will they defeat her before North America wakes up or before I finish my Christmas shopping?
Over in China, it's approaching 5 pm. 天涯 (Skyline) 佶天鸿 (Jitianhong) and 火锅超界 (Huo Guo Chao Jie) are all progressing Broodkeeper Diurna and each has good pulls of 32.42%, 76.34% and 80.78% retrospectively. One thing to remember is that the Asian reset was yesterday, Thursday. This means that these teams now have better gear. Will we see one of these teams catch up with the 4 teams progressing Raszageth?
Liquid have just had their best pull yet, solidly into the burn phase, they push their best attempt to 14.2%.
Method have started their day of Raszageth Mythic progression, they will be looking to get some solid progress on the boss whilst BDGG (US) are offline.
Liquid continue to pull. Since their best attempt, within the span of 4 pulls, they hit the 23% mark 3 times (pulls 341,342 and 344), currently on pull 350, so go check out their stream before they go offline today! They are certainly getting closer and closer to defeating Raszageth the Storm-Eater.
Liquid has taken the lead with a great pull of 17.68%!
And another great pull by Liquid with a 20.49% wipe! Inching closer and closer to Echo's best pull. Strong possibility that Liquid could surpass Echo tonight since they still have 4.5-5 hours left in their day.
Liquid have made it to Phase 3 of Raszageth with a new best pull of 35.49%.
Congratulations to Instant Dollars on World 8th / US 3rd Mythic Kurog Grimtotem. They defeated the boss in 45 pulls!
With 300+ pulls it's really great to see the Liquid team laughing and joking.
And we are approaching the Holidays already! Maybe we will see Raszageth with a Santa Hat? Let's hope not.
But while we wait to see what will happen, this is the recap of what we have seen: 天涯 (Skyline), 佶天鸿 (Jitianhong) and 火锅超界 (Huo Guo Chao Jie) are all showing the power of the Asian guilds! They are all pushing hard on Broodkeeper Diurna and Skyline already reached 66% of the boss HP! And what an impressive performance from 佶天鸿 (Jitianhong)! They really caught up to the front runners and surpassed 火锅超界 (Huo Guo Chao Jie) by just a bit, but still really impressive.
On the EU front, Method got an astonishing performance for the day, and already got all the way down the 67% on Raszageth. And I don't even know how to start with Echo! They not only got multiple days blowing right past the 16 hours of raiding, but they had a crazy pull, playing out of their minds, and pushing the boss to the unseen mark of 19.6%! They really showed why they are the defending champions, and put the pressure entirely on Liquid to match that amazing pull.
Speaking of the NA squad Liquid is also pulling such a performance! They not only dominated the tier in terms of World Firsts kills so far, they are also showing that if Echo wants the World First, they will have to keep up with a whole new level of gameplay. We said here before, but until this point, both squads actually were in a race of their own. But together with Method, BDGG showed both squads that if they slip, only a little bit, there is also amazingly talented squads waiting to get the glory, no questions asked, and I think this is the magic of the RWF, it doesn't matter how far ahead you think got, there's always competition! The Golden squad is currently pushing Raszageth as well, having reached a whopping 67.3% after only 64 pulls in.
From behind and catching up we have Honolulu on 4 out of 8 mythic! Here comes the steam train!! Also a another thank you for the boss guides.
Echo ended for the night after their best pull. Method have been progressing extremely well today. Liquid and BDGG haven't long started their day and have been doing insanely well.
Tactic update, in the last phase, players have to keep orbs away from Raszageth, if an orb gets to the boss she heals for 5% per orb hence why in Echo's last pull the boss healed up from 19.9%
Echo just had the best pull we have seen of 19.9% and were in the final phase! However When Raszageth's rings moved in and she was standing in it the boss started to heal again!!
Is this a bug or is this intended? Is this the secret phase?
BDGG has a new best pull of 68.32%
Hot from the vault as the last update was posted we see a new best from both BDGG and Method with 70.82% and 71.43% retrospectively. This race is getting spicy.
Let's take a look at the current 4 guilds on Raszageth Echo after 211 pulls have the best pull of 43.09% with Liquid right behind at 45.32% after 294 pulls. Coming in close after we have BDGG at 73.75% after 36 pulls, then here come Method after 22 pulls with 75.7%.
A couple of things to remember here are both BDGG and Method have the benefit of analysing what Liquid and Echo have been doing, so personally, I would be very surprised if we don't see BDGG and Method progress into the second intermission faster then what we saw with Echo and Limit.
We also need to remember that these teams racing from a venue may be racing against time. What I thought maybe 2 races a few days ago could now be back to 1 race between 4 goliath teams. Only time will tell and I am certainly going to be keeping my eyes peeled over the next 24 hours.
Liquid are set to come online over the next 15 minutes, starting their day of Mythic Raszageth progression!
Huo Guo Chao Jie defeat Kurog Grimtotem World 7th, Asia 3rd.
Aversion has defeated Dathea, Ascended in 82 pulls, World 11th, EU 4th.
Method defeat Broodkeeper Diurna, World 4th, EU 2nd.
They killed the boss in 45 pulls, you can compare this to other guilds on our Boss Graphs page
Echo have had another run of great pulls, 3 of the 4 last pulls getting below 46%, pushing their best attempt to 43.79% on Pull 203. They are paused to discuss before starting their next attempt.
Jitianhong have defeated Kurog Grimtotem, World 7th, Asia 2nd.
Method are looking close to a Broodkeeper Diurna kill, with a very close attempt of 1.86%.
Echo have had a flurry of pulls hitting their lowest attempt (~48%), with their latest pull pushing their best slightly lower to 48.2%. After a short pause, they are sending our ready checks for pull 199.
3 pulls after their previous best of 28.6%, Method have hit a new best of 14.86% on Pull 33. Currently they are on pull 35.
Method has a new best on Broodkeeper at pull 30 of 28.6%
Echo are chipping away at Mythic Raszageth, hitting a new best percentage of 50.68% on pull 188, currently on pull 193.
With Liquid going slightly later into the night, they have at least a few more hours before they are going head-to-head.
Method is now back on progressing mythic Broodkeeper. Echo is still progressing mythic Raszageth after 173 pulls they have the best pull of 53.02% and they are doing really well. The changes to the boss's health and p2 shield are a huge game changer as we saw with Liquid last night. Aversion is still in splits prison and will hopefully be back to progress soon.
Echo have seen a new best attempt already today of 53% (pull 177), with a 57.7% (pull 182) attempt 5 pulls later.
Echo are pushing forward, definitely check them out today on stream to watch them drop their best attempt percentage!
Method are starting their day of Mythic raiding very soon, grouping and setting up the raid in-front of Kurog Grimtotem.
And with that BDGG has called it a night for prog while their players continue to get some Mythic+ in before bed. Liquid is still going at Raszageth with their 265th attempt.
On pull 262 Liquid has a new best on Raszageth of 47.83%! Their intermissions are getting cleaner every pull and it's been fun to watch the progression and optimizations they've been able to make.
Meanwhile, BDGG has gotten one pull on Raszageth and are now having a guild meeting and running Mythic+.
Congratulations to BDGG on World 3rd / NA 2nd Mythic Broodkeeper Diurna in 101 pulls!
BDGG are closing in on a Broodkeeper Diurna kill with a wipe of 0.99%. Any pull now could be the kill.
With the hotfix to Raszageth's shield and an apparent hot fix to Lightning breath, apparently, it was going on to pets, this has now been changed to the player only. Liquid has a new best at pull 233 of 53.3% this is a huge jump since their best attempt by just short of 10%. This is huge! This is shaping up to be an interesting 24 hours. Is there a secret phase? Is the next intermission and phase a lot harder then we are expecting?
According to sources, the shield on Raszageth the Storm-Eater phase 2 has apparently been halved. Will we see more hot fixes? Does Blizzard want this over before Christmas?
The 9th day has ended.
Starting in Asia we have seen 火锅超界 (Huo Guo Chao Jie) have some good progress on Kurog with the best pull of 5.66%. Whereas 天涯 (Skyline) has joined Method and BDGG on Broodkeeper.
In the EU FatSharkYes has been making steady progress on Kurog with their best pull being 45.04% after 33 pulls. Method has been in splits prison most of the day and then went into mythic reclear this evening and called the night after a heartbreaking wipe on mythic Kurog of 10%. Echo has had a promising day after their splits and reclear and now has the best pull of 62.65% after 151 pulls.
Over in North America Instant Dollars have been progressing Kurog has a best pull of 23.11% after 35 pulls. BDGG had an agonizing wipe on Broodkeeper at 10.4% after 82 pulls, they had a silly wipe after that best and then went for their evening meal. Liquid after 225 pulls have the best pull of 63.39% and are still progressing nicely and making steady progress with each pull.
Watching these goliath teams pull after pull really makes me wonder what these guys and girls are made of. The real question is, will they be done by Christmas? There is current chatter that Echo is due to leave Switzerland within the next few days, which begs the question, how long does Liquid have? Will they lose players and production team members again as they did in the last tier? Will they have to change hotel? With a few days until Christmas not only is this a race to world first it's a race against time.
After 224 pulls Liquid has a new best of 63.39%
As BDGG go and get food Liquid jump back into progress.
BDGG have a terrific pull of 10.4% after 81 pulls, will Broodkeeper fall down for them soon.
Method have called it a night after the last wipe on their reclear of Kurog, with the mindset that fresh players will be better, these guys have been in the raid all day doing split after split and then into reclear.
BDGG are still progressing on Broodkeeper and Liquid are still at war with mythic Raszageth.
Speaking of Method, the Orange squad is currently reclearing Mythic Kurog, and should be pretty soon back at Mythic Broodkeeper with all the extra gear from the Mythic reclear and extra splits done earlier today.
Liquid got some pretty good pulls already in this crazy Raszageth encounter, but they will be stopping for lunch!
Meanwhile, BDGG is pushing hard on Mythic Broodkeeper, after they were done with their reclear. They are still fighting Method for that World 3rd on the boss
As we mentioned before, Echo has been raiding pretty much since the servers went up again, so they decided to call it a day for now, and get some well deserved rest.
They know they still have a long way to go in terms of progression, the same goes for Liquid so it wise from them to take the moment to reset and get back at it tomorrow at full strength!
They have done 165 pulls, and have reached the shield phase quite often in this last few hours, so they left the bar pretty high up for Liquid to try to match.
Method is currently in their Mythic Re-clear which they are flying through! Echo and Liquid are still smashing their heads against Mythic Raszageth the Storm-Eater and they are making dents in her shield. BDGG is making steady progress on Broodkeeper with the best pull of 42.5% after 50 attempts.
Echo just had an amazing pull! Having most of the raid alive, they managed to survive the entirety of the shield cast for the first time after 146 attempts!
They couldn't break the shield just yet, but they survived enough for us to see that you can survive if you properly manage the debuffs! The DPS will be the next challenge for them to overcome.
Method is finally back for more Mythic action! They just started their reclear and should be back soon for some more Mythic Broodkeeper progression!
Liquid really is putting some fire in the competition right now!
After 198 pulls, they just had an unprecedented pull, where they managed to get to the shield phase, after killing all 6 adds with 19 players alive! We still got a lot to learn about the P3 mechanics, and it seems they need too, since they pretty much immediately wiped as the AoE from the shield cast started!
Let's see what adaptations they will bring to the table after getting this key information!
Liquid is currently focusing on getting back with consistency. They are having a little bit of trouble to get back at the add platform phase, but rightfully so. As we expected from yesterday speculation, they indeed changed a bit of the composition, bringing an extra Havoc Demon Hunter in the spot previously taken by a Marksmanship Hunter, and they decided to use only 4 healers for the fight.
Echo on the other hand, also brought the Demon Hunter to replace the Hunter, but they kept the 5 healers strategy! Let's see how this difference will play out with more practice from the NA squad as the day progresses.
Echo is not willing to let Liquid catch up at all! They are consistently reaching the third phase and giving us more insight in the shield mechanic!
They managed to kill all adds in one of the platforms, but they sadly haven't managed yet to get to the third platform, where Raszageth will cast the shield, without deaths.
It's just a matter of time for us to discover more about P3 on this already epic encounter!
What a pull for Echo! They just barely managed to give us a look at the shield phase, and it does look scary!
They still haven't managed to kill all 3 adds in both platforms, but apparently the boss has a fixed timer that you have to beat, and if you fail, the boss goes to the third platform anyway and starts the shield cast and you can't possibly break it without already being there do DPS it down.
Keep in mind that if the shield is not broken, it applies a very powerful damage over time effect that lasts an entire minute and a half, so it's pretty much a wipe.
And we are again in one of those weird situations where tracking boss health until they can get to P3 will be weird since the boss become immune at the end of P1, so I will do my best to keep you posted on the amount of adds left in the platforms, since if they can clear them all, we may finally see the feared shield mechanic in all of its Mythic glory!
So far Echo managed to kill 2 out of 3 big air elemental adds in the platform, but they had almost 2 full parties, about 9 raiders falling on the last pushback or just not been able to withstand the damage spikes.
On Liquid's end, they did only 3 pulls so far, but they have killed only 1 big add, and just barely, but with almost the entire raid dead. With more tries today I am sure they catch up pretty fast, and they have the time on their side, since Echo has been raiding pretty much since around 5 AM in Switzerland, where they are located.
Both Echo and Liquid came back to this fight in an impressive shape! I was expecting a little bit more wipes on P1 back to back due to having to reacquire that muscle memory for all the pushbacks, but by the looks of it, the reclear haven't phased them out of the fight at all!
Both reached P2, the add phase, pretty consistently so far, not short of random deaths in P1, but still very impressive!
Liquid is back online! And they are not willing to waste any more time, already in front of Mythic Raszageth and pulling
Echo are back and preparing to pull Mythic Raszageth again.
Liquid has their stream starting up, we will hopefully see some progress pulls from them soon.
天涯 (Skyline) have killed Kurog Grimtotem after 99 pulls, moving them to world 5th and Chinese 1st.
It looks like BDGG are back up and into mythic Broodkeeper.
With Echo still in reclear heaven Aversion and Method are still in splits. We await the dawn with our NA teams who will be continuing there day.
Reset day continues to be splits central for the rest of EU. Hopefully, we see some boss progression later today.
Echo have finished their splits and are heading back into Mythic to reclear. Will be interesting to see if they make it back to Raszageth before Liquid wake up.
Aversion have joined the other teams in splits heaven.
Our EU teams Method and Echo are in heroic splits still and the Aversion Twitch channel is coming online, will they be in splits heaven? Over on the Method Twitch channel its lots of fun with the Rageleading charity goal.
EU guilds continue to run Heroic splits. But we will likely start to see guilds begin their Mythic re-clear within the next few hours.
Liquid have called it a day and are heading offline until tomorrow. Finishing their day with a best percentage of 64.8% and 186 pulls in total.
Skyline are having a similar experience to other guilds on Mythic Kurog Grimtotem. Those last few % of the boss' health are elusive. With back-to-back best attempts, they lower their best attempt from 3.85% to 3.31%. They are getting very close to defeating this boss before their region's reset tomorrow (Thursday).
Skyline are getting close to a kill on Kurog Grimtotem, with a new best of 3.85% after 68 pulls.
Echo are doing Broodkeeper Diurna Heroic splits currently. They have also done some specific boss Mythic splits for new characters (we believe one to be an additional Death Knight DPS).
Liquid are actively pulling Mythic Raszageth, having re-cleared during their day today. They will likely soon be going offline as it's getting late for them.
Method are coming online soon after finishing up Mythic+ vaults yesterday. They will start off the day opening vaults and likely jump into splits before returning to Mythic!
Liquid has finished their Mythic reclear and are currently prepping for more progression on Raszageth. BDGG just finished theirs as well, just downing Kurog Grimtotem. Echo are still working through their Heroic splits.
BDGG has cleared Mythic Dathea and are getting ready to pull Kurog Grimtotem in order to get back to Broodkeeper Diurna progression. Liquid is still pulling Broodkeeper.
On the other side of the pond, Echo is currently getting ready for their splits after reset. They are starting bright and early at 6:25am GMT after having a shorter day yesterday.
Liquid and BDGG are zooming through their reclears. Liquid is getting ready to pull Broodkeeper Diurna and BDGG is currently working on Dathea.
Liquid is back in Mythic now after Heroic Splits. Currently they have cleared Eranog and Terros and are heading towards the Primal Council. BDGG is still doing their splits and are pulling Heroic Raszageth.
Liquid still pushing strong with splits, so sadly the Mythic progression is brought into a halt. But for a good reason, the extra gear that both NA is getting right now, and EU will get shortly after will for sure bring them to face Raszageth way stronger!
BDGG is also pushing for splits, which lead me to believe that they will get back to Mythic by their dinner time.
Again, I strongly believe that they will do a full reclear of all bosses they killed so far, but they still got the option, specially BDGG that is racing for that World 3rd on Broodkeeper Diurna.
Method decided to call it a day, having reached 57.6% of the Mythic Broodkeeper's HP bar after only 25 pulls! They will do some last minute keys before the reset and will get some well deserved rest for the extra luck in the Great Vault rewards tomorrow.
And we're back to Splitsville, sadly. Obviously NA guilds are doing all the chores for extra gear in order to get back on Mythic at full speed!
Liquid and BDGG are both focusing on farming some missing tier pieces and the huge trinket from The Primal Council, but the very low drop chance is turning this splits into a huge time sink so far, they still have the last shot, at the Mythic reclear, which would be massive for any raider that gets it.
Method and Aversion are still pushing in the EU front, but as we slowly approaching the server weekly reset, I wonder how far will they go before going to bed to try and wake up by the time the servers are back up.
Method is still pushing Mythic Broodkeeper, having reached 59.3% as their new best percentage of the boss HP! This took them only 19 pulls, so they are more than on track to reach Raszageth before bed time in EU.
Liquid is actually taking the full Heroic split strategy backup! They have multiple groups doing runs simultaneously, and by the looks of it, after they are done with specific bosses with helpers, they will reclear up until Heroic Raszageth with alt characters from raiders.
BDGG is doing something similar, so the question is how long will it take them to get back to Mythic, and if there will be any changes in compositions, what would they look like after so much more gear is acquired!
Liquid is doing a full Heroic run by the looks of it! Interesting strategy for sure, lets see how long they take to start the Mythic reclear.
As we are approaching the EU reset, here is the current status:
BDGG is farming Heroic gear, the same goes for Imperative
Liquid is currently getting all the loot from The Great Vault, maybe they will start on Heroic the same way as the other guilds? Or they may go directly into Mythic again
Method and FatSharkYes are still raiding, the same cannot be said about Echo that is aiming to getting up right after the server reset.
Method is on Mythic Broodkeeper, with 12 pulls in, and a best percentage of 65% on the boss HP mark.
FatSharkYes is on Mythic Kurog, having only done 4 pulls, maybe to feel the fight and plan for the reset, but they got his HP bar all the way down the 69.1% mark.
BDGG seems to be doing Heroic only for specific pieces of loot! Since they blasted only 2 bosses and are already back with another group.
My bet would be the huge stat budget of Whispering Incarnate Icon from The Primal Council, but let's see how this strategy plays out
Echo is apparently looking for a shorter day of raiding, in order to wake up as soon as the EU realms are back up after the reset! They have about 10 hours for some last minute chores, Mythic+ runs and sleep, lets see if other EU guilds will follow the same strategy.
Echo decided to do another Mythic clear, with alts this time! I wonder if they are planning on reclearing the raid twice tomorrow after the EU reset.
FatSharkYes just defeated Mythic Dathea for World 9th, EU 3rd after 115 pulls!
BDGG is also back in the raid, and similar to Imperative their back straight to Heroic splits!
Method is not willing to take any chances, they have downed Mythic Broodkeeper to a whopping 65% after just 8 pulls! The Orange squad is aiming for Raszageth tonight!
Speaking of reclears, Imperative is back the raid, but currently doing a Heroic split!
It will be very interesting to see if the loot out of the Great Vault changes something about Liquid and BDGG's composition if they change something for today.
Keep in mind, that I'm pretty sure they will reclear the raid entirely on Mythic before coming back to progression.
And the NA servers are back up! We should see US guilds coming back online in the next few hours for some Great Vault action!
Method is back at the Vault! They decided to start progression on the crazy Mythic Broodkeeper encounter, currently with 85.9% as their best percentage in terms of boss HP, and having reached all the way down 5 eggs out of the 32 they need to break before the soft enrage for P2.
After hitting a wall on Raszageth the Storm-Eater, Echo has decided to call raiding for today and switched to mythic+ for gear upgrades
After 97 pulls, Method has defeated Kurog Grimtotem! This kill is World 4th and EU 2nd.
Taking a quick look for movement on progress and we can see that whilst US guilds and specifically Liquid still sleep, Echo are still frequently getting to the 65% mark.
With Chao Jie recently taking down Dathea, Skyline will feel the pressure, still ahead on Kurog, having nudged their best attempt down to 44.4% across 32 pulls.
Conspiracy and Aversion are going head-to-head, both having a best of ~55%.
Huo Guo Chao Jie has defeated Dathea, Ascended, putting them at 5/8 in Vault of the Incarnates. This kill was World 7th and Asia 2nd.
Method have another best attempt of 0.28%, that makes three under 1% wipes on this boss in the last 6 pulls. Making watching this fight, and I assume playing it, high intensity right until the boss is defeated.
Method has had another painfully close pull on Kurog Grimtotem. Lowering their best attempt from 1.88% to 0.86%.
With so many low attempts, they are making the hard decision to send Vantus Runes on Kurog Grimtotem to maximise Broodkeeper Diurna experience today. With the goal of defeating Diurna on the re-clear.
Echo has just hit pull 100 on Mythic Raszageth, with pulls frequently reaching their current best of 64.8%
Echo and Method have both started on EU Day 7. Echo is now going into pull number 93 on Mythic Raszageth while Method is on pull 68 of Kurog Grimtotem.
Looks like with the hotfixes that went in earlier tonight with Mythic Raszageth, Kurog Grimtotem received some nerfs and Broodkeeper Diurna received some fixes.
-
Kurog Grimtotem
- Increased the enrage timer to 10 minutes on Mythic difficulty (was 9 minutes)
- Decreased the following enemies health by 15% on Mythic difficulty:
- Frostwrought Dominator
- Earthwought Smasher
- Flamewrought eradicator
- Stormwrought Despoiler
- Tectonic Crusher
- Frozen Destroyer
- Blazing Fiend
- Thundering Ravager
- Fixed an issue where Kurog Grimtotem's Earth, Flame, Frost, and Storm Dominance were not interacting correctly with Evoker's ability Rewind (all difficulties)
-
Broodkeeper Diurna
- Fixed an issue which could affect the responsiveness of Primalist Forces on when they become active on all difficulties
- Fixed an issue which could cause Empowered Greatstaff's Wrath to target a tank-specialization player over other valid targets.
With these changes here's to hoping we see the Method team bring home some kills!
Here is the Blue Post on December 19th Hotfixes
Liquid on pull 126 finally made it to the first intermission cleanly. They sent everyone except one of their tanks to one of the two platforms. They were barely short of clearing the one platform before the Vault Integrity hit 50%. I wonder how much different these DPS checks are going to feel after reset.
BDGG has called it a night. They end their night with 41 pulls on Broodkeeper Diurna and a best of 57.9% and the World 3rd kill of Kurog Grimtotem.
Congratulations to Skyline for World 6th, CN 1st Mythic Dathea, Ascended! They defeated the windy elemental in 163 pulls!
Instant Dollars have ended raid for the night. They stopped with 23.1% still as their best pull. Liquid is still pulling Raszageth and are currently on pull 120 and still trying to get a clean transition into Phase 2. BDGG is still at it as well with a best pull of 58.9% on Broodkeeper Diurna. Imperative didn't step into raid tonight and ran Mythic+ instead.
Instant Dollars with another best pull of 23.1%. There is a chance that we could see another Kurog kill tonight.
Liquid on their 93rd pull reached a new best of 64.86%, edging slightly ahead of Echo. They are currently on their 102nd pull of this boss. BDGG is still working on Broodkeeper with a new best pull 63.73% and a total of 22 pulls. Instant Dollars has a new best pull on Kurog Grimtotem of 40.08% on 21 pulls.
Liquid keep hammering away at Raszageth, their latest best pull is 65% which is within 0.1% of Echo's best pull. Time for the race to start heating up!
Imperative is currently running keys while BDGG are continuing to pull Broodkeeper Diurna. Instant Dollars still have a best pull of 46% on Kurog Grimtotem.
Instant Dollars have started pulling Kurog Grimtotem tonight, so far only two pulls in with a best of 46%. Liquid is still trying to optimize their comp and see further into the Raszageth fight. BDGG has gotten a handful of pulls in on Broodkeeper Diurna with a best of 82.6%.
BDGG have returned from an officer meeting & Mythic+ and have started pulling Broodkeeper Diurna.
The end of the 6th day
With Dragonflight being out for 3 weeks today we see server stability a lot better than it was then, RIP to Twisting Nether (EU) on release day. But what has been stable is our team's progress today!
Just going to have a look at the top 5 teams for tonight and where they are. Starting with EU as they have finished for the day.
Echo are currently holding world first due to having the best pull on Raszageth after 91 pulls got the boss to the second phase with a % of 64.92 we will see some more progress from them when they wake.
Method had an agonizing wipe on Kurog Grimtotem at 1.99% at pull number 62. I really felt that in my heart when I saw that. They then called if for the day and will kill it early in the morning. Over in NA
Liquid is currently sat as the world second with the best pull on Raszageth the Storm-Eater with the best pull of 68.32% after 70 pulls. BDGG took down Kurog Grimtotem at pull 69 and then jumped into Mythic plus instead of moving onto Broodkeeper Diurna.
Instant Dollars have moved onto Kurog and with 1 pull got the boss to 75.88% hopefully we will see more progress from them shortly. Now the NA reset is looming on us, will they reclear? Will they spend the day in splits jail? I guess only time will tell.
All these teams have been doing amazing and raising so much money for a variety of different charities so a big well done to them. Method hit the 4000$ mark tonight and as a result, MethodGrant got a little hot under the collar.
Now that BDGG have defeated Kurog Grimtotem, they've elected to do more Mythic+ before pulling Broodkeeper Diurna.
With the NA reset approaching, Method decided to call it a day, having wiped at 1.8% on Mythic Kurog, they will get ready for some Broodkeeper action tomorrow for sure!
BDGG is getting ready for Mythic Broodkeeper and decided in the meantime farm some more gear on Mythic+. They should be back at the raid today still.
BDGG just defeated Mythic Kurog Grimtotem! After 62 pulls, they secured them World 3rd, US 2nd!
With Liquid finally pulling the boss again, we can see that both them and Echo found that Time Spiral is the key for surviving the pushbacks without the puddles from Heroic.
It will be interesting to see how the Evoker difference will play out though, because Liquid decided to bring 2 Preservation Evokers and use the Time Spiral from a single Devastation Evoker to fill a ranged DPS spot, while Echo decided to go with 3 Preservation Evokers.
This crazy amount of Evokers is mainly due to the spell, but throughput wise, Evokers are also very powerful, so I'm wondering why Echo didn't want to bring the Devastation. Keep in mind that both can use the massive Kharnalex weapon from Broodkeeper Diurna.
On the other side of the pond, Method is also pushing hard on Mythic Kurog! They just lowered their best percentage to 14%!
BDGG got such a close call! They just wiped at 1.1% of the boss HP! They are not out of Kurog's room yet, but they are just one good pull away for sure
Another sub 5% pull for BDGG! They just downed their best percentage to 3.9%, after 59 pulls! They are very close to defeating Mythic Kurog!
BDGG got so close! The NA squad got all the way down to 4.9% this time! They got the damage, they just need more practice after the second intermission and they can defeat Mythic Kurog!
And it seems like Liquid is done hunting gear! They were quick to get in front of Mythic Raszageth once again, and are ready for some more air time.
Jokes aside, they have only 55 pulls, versus the massive 85 for Echo currently, but they are more than ready to catch up in experience, and maybe even crack the puzzle for P2.
And speaking of Echo, they decided to call it a day for now, after 85 grueling pulls! For sure a well deserved rest after being raiding for more than 16 hours in the last two days!
They left the mark to be beaten at 65% of Raszageth's HP left, having revealed that the encounter has a very hard DPS check to phase the boss before the 7th cast of the pushback mechanic and left us with a lot of questions around what you are suppose to do about the big Fire Lieutenant on P2.
Liquid is still pushing that extra gear, which makes me wonder if they are waiting for Echo to go get some rest before showing their new strategy.
Yesterday the last pulls they did on Raszageth were with only 18 raiders, so I'm curious to see what they will be bringing to the raid today.
Another great pull from Echo on what is turning out to be an insane encounter with Raszageth!
The Mythic only mechanic for the add platform is a Fire Lieutenant that spawns, and has a cast that wipes the raid if not interrupted. The problem that they are having is this cast going through, because this Lieutenant also casts a shield, for a massive 70% of his maximum HP that prevents interrupts.
The question that is left for us, and I guess for them as well, is what is the condition for that add to cast the shield? Or is it just an insanely high damage check? The cast went out roughly 10 seconds after they get to the platform, so if that is the case, we may be in for a long run.
BDGG got a new personal best on Mythic Kurog! They got the encounter all the way down the 5.5% mark!
Liquid is not looking that they will come back to Mythic any time soon.
The raiders are focused on acquiring important upgrades, spamming mostly the same Mythic+ keys each.
The question that this strategy raises is, we know that Echo did the most amount of splits of all the major guilds, and Method and BDGG together with Liquid are all behind in terms of raw item level, so will the other EU and NA contenders have to do this as well?
Echo did it again! This time, way more healthier, but still instantly wiping at the beginning of the add phase, having reached 64% of the boss HP bar!
The Mythic Raszageth encounter already wiped the EU squad 74 times, but they are progressing steadily, the only question right now is if there will be a Mythic only, often called Secret Phase still waiting for us.
Method got so close! They just lowered Kurog's HP all the way down to 14.9%! They can definitely smell the blood in the water, and once any of the top guilds in the race do, they become unstoppable!
They are only 42 pulls in, 17 pulls less then Liquid still, so were definitely seeing some Mythic Broodkeeper for them today!
The other side of the epic head-to-head going on for the Raszageth glory is just waking up!
Liquid is with an average item level across their main raid composition of 403! That's just below Echo, currently at the 404.5 mark, and maybe for that reason, they are starting the day with some raiders spamming some Mythic+ keys!
It will be interesting to see how the time management for them plays out today, since yesterday they burned a bit of the time advantage they had to gear an extra Evoker for the challenging knockbacks in the encounter ahead of them.
Method just reached a new best of 38.1% HP remaining on Kurog's HP bar!
After 41 pulls, they will keep pushing hard to get to Mythic Broodkeeper Diurna in the next few hours!
Echo is on fire! After being pushed out of Raszageth's platform for 68 times, they finally got it down to the add phase!
And now we know know for sure that she phases with the same percentage as in Heroic, 65% percent, that's a very important piece of information for Method, BDGG that should be reaching the boss pretty soon, and obviously for Liquid on the head-to-head race!
Echo sees a new best percentage of 66% on their 66th pull on Raszageth the Storm-Eater!
A big step forward for BDGG as they reach 9.71% on their 41st pull of Kurog Grimtotem
After 77 pulls Aversion has defeated Sennarth, the Cold Breath.
Method has a new best percentage on Kurog Grimtotem. After 29 pulls, they have reached 39%
Echo have hit a new best, getting even closer to seeing the next phase of the Mythic Raszageth fight. Their new best is 68.2% after 39 pulls.
Echo are making steady progress on Mythic Raszageth, with a best attempt of 70% on pull 31 (currently on pull 36). This new best percentage puts them ahead of Liquid, all be it only by ~0.4%.
Liquid will still be offline, but will likely be back online for their final raid day before the reset in 3-4 hours from now.
Taking a look at how guilds in Asia are doing, there has been some solid progress from Skyline and Huo Guo Chao Jie on Dathea, Ascended.
**Skyline **are very close to a kill, with a new best of 1.33% on pull 95 (currently on pull 106).
Chao Jie are further away from the kill, with a best of 40.2% on pull 57 (currently on pull 64)
Method has defeated Dathea, Ascended! World 5th, EU 2nd.
Method are still progressing well on Dathea, hopefully this boss will fall down soon. Echo is now up and standing in front of Mythic Raszageth. Aversion have their stream starting up so things are starting to rev up in the EU.
The 6th day is upon us.
We start the day by talking about the events that happened in NA. Instant Dollars killed Dathea and moved on to Kurog with a best pull of 75.88%. BDGG continued their progress on Kurog and get a best pull of 43.39%. Will we see these teams on Broodkeeper tonight? Liquid, the current race leaders had a best pull of 70.43% on Raszageth.
In the EU Echo are still offline after a late-night pulling and killing Broodkeeper and moving on to Raszageth. Method is up and pulling Dathea after 84 pulls they have a best pull of 15.3% hopefully we see this boss fall over for them today and they can start catching up with the front runners again.
It looks like Liquid has called it for today. Player streams are going offline after a solid day of progress and a personal favourite highlight of the Race with the Echo vs. Liquid head-to-head on Broodkeeper Diurna.
Method are waking up, grouping up and looking for a swift kill of Mythic Dathea, Ascended. They have notably swapped out an Enhancement Shaman for another Balance Druid, lets see if it has the impact they hope for.
The remaining players (as with most guilds) fill their raid down-time with Mythic+ to squeeze out all the gearing that they can.
Liquid continue to build their experience in Phase 1 of the Mythic Raszageth encounter. Their best % so far is 70.42% (Pull 24), with a handful of pulls finishing close to that point since then. They are taking a short break before starting their 53rd pull.
BDGG is consistently reaching the first intermission on Kurog's very hard encounter, they are sitting at 42.8% as their best percentage of the boss HP after 26 attempts so far!
Liquid is actually pushing their advantage, using the time gained by defeating the Mythic Broodkeeper encounter so early in their raiding day. They are currently running a Heroic split, funneling gear on some specific characters that they believe will be important for the progression ahead of them on the Mythic Raszageth encounter.
Imperative did some pulls on Mythic Dathea, but ultimately decided to call it a day, and get some well deserved rest.
Vesper is back at the Vault, currently progressing on Mythic Terros
Imperative is out of the webs! They have just defeated Mythic Sennarth after 67 attempts, securing them World 11th, US 4th
Instant Dollars got some pulls on Mythic Kurog, but ultimately decided to call it a day, still what a day it was!
Instant Dollars did it! They just defeated Mythic Dathea after 92 pulls! That got them World 4th, US 3rd.
Instant Dollars are trying to find that consistency to get to P3 on the Mythic Dathea encounter and having reached 0.95% on the boss HP bar, its just a matter of time for them to move over to Mythic Kurog.
Imperative got so close! They just had a 0.99% wipe on Mythic Sennarth.
They are already back it, and hopefully can close their business with this spider, and move to over to either Kurog or Dathea!
Meanwhile, BDGG is getting further and further into Mythic Kurog, having reached 43.4% as their personal best in the encounter, after only 15 attempts.
For comparison, Liquid took 59 pulls to defeat the boss.
Liquid is back from their dinner break, and before going back to Mythic Raszageth they will apparently do a quick Normal split, to funnel gear into another Preservation Evoker, which would make sense since earlier in progression they mentioned switching a Priest to an extra Evoker.
The knockback mechanic seems to be the only reason behind the change, since the Evoker only spell Time Spiral gets crazy value by helping them survive.
Liquid apparently got into a very hard wall in the Mythic Raszageth encounter! And funny enough, its not a damage check, or a healing one.
The Mythic version of the encounter removes the puddles that slows you on Heroic and Normal, making the huge knockback from the boss the biggest challenge on P1. They are apparently even considering swapping some low mobility classes since they haven't managed to survive the third cast yet!
Their personal best is still at 70.4% after 32 attempts already, and they got this percentage 8 pulls ago.
It was so close! Instant Dollars just got a 0.95% wipe after 78 attempts on Mythic Dathea! I don't know if I can handle so many close calls for one day.
BDGG is making crazy good progress! They pushed Mythic Kurog all the way down to 66.7% after only 5 pulls! They can reach Broodkeeper in the next few hours if they keep this pace!
Instant Dollars is also really pushing, having reached 5.5% on Mythic Dathea's HP bar.
And Imperative is trying to get back consistently to P3 on Mythic Sennarth, because they know they can killed it, they just need a clean P3.
BDGG is coming in hot! They reached the first intermission in just 1 pull on Kurog! Of course there is still a lot of progression on the fight, but what a start!
That was so close! Instant Dollars just had a soul crushing wipe at 9.6%! They definitely got this, and the perfect, clean pull is for sure coming soon™!
BDGG is back from the Mythic+ break they had! Mythic Kurog Grimtotem is facing the next challenger!
While Liquid is busy figuring out the first phase of this crazy version of the Raszageth encounter, this is the overall status for NA:
BDGG just killed Mythic Dathea and decided to try to squeeze some extra Mythic+ runs before coming back to the raid to face the very hard Mythic Kurog Grimtotem.
Imperative is still pushing Mythic Sennarth, having reached a heartbreaking wipe at 3.8% of the boss HP after 47 attempts.
Instant Dollars is keeping up with their impressive performance from yesterday, having already pushed all the way down the 23.7% mark on Mythic Dathea's HP bar, and with the closest guilds being FatSharkYes and Method, both EU guilds and currently sleeping, they have a big chance here to swoop the World 4th and keep the Dark Horse run alive, and set the stage to massively improve their performance from last tier, where they reached World 10th on Mythic The Jailer, but they still have ground to cover since Method is sitting at 15% as their best percentage already.
At the end of the 5th day at night look to the west.
We have seen one great day in terms of progress. Our friends over in Asia 火锅超界 (Huo Guo Chao Jie) and 天涯 (Skyline), catch up with, Method, FatSharkYes and Instant Dollars on 4 of 8 mythic and both teams making a good start on progressing Dathea with best pulls of 61.56% and 58.13% retrospectively, meaning that on the leaderboard Skyline is ahead of Huo Guo Chao Jie despite the latter killing Sennarth first by about an hour. Over in the west, we start with the team in Black and Orange, Method, had a great start to the day killing both Terros and Sennarth within a few hours of each other. We then proceeded to see them make some great progress on Dathea and after 73 pulls we see a best of 15.34%. Method decided to call it a night at about midnight CET, to allow the team to get a good night's rest before another day of solid progress. Echo killed Broodkeeper after 46 pulls and many chants of “One more pull” fair play to them for going over time tonight to get the kill. FatSharkYes are making steady progress on Dathea with a best of 40.4%
Our North American brothers and sisters had a great start to their day which hasn’t long started. We have seen Liquid defeat Broodkeeper less than an hour ago before they went to lunch and will then see the first mythic pulls on Raszageth, The Storm-Eater, the hype intensifies, but begs the question will world first be claimed before the NA reset or will it tip over? Our friends over in BDGG have now defeated Dathea and move on to Kurog and Instant Dollars are making steady progress on her with the best pull of 36.11%. Imperative are progressing Sennarth, The Cold Breath with a best pull of 4.79% hopefully that will fall down for them soon and we will see them progressing Dathea.
It’s starting to look like we are seeing 2 very different races, one for world first between Liquid and Echo and another for World third between Method, FatSharkYes, BDGG, and Instant Dollars. That being said I know Method is currently doing what's called the #BigBrainStrat which may change everything over the next 24 to 48 hours. If they are doing what I personally think they are doing then this changes everything.
What an unstoppable squad! Even though Echo is raiding for more than 16 hours at this point, after defeating Mythic Broodkeeper they still found strength to do some pulls on Raszageth, already pushing for 91% of the boss HP.
They called a day for now, but this just shows that they are far from defeated, and if anything, they are more motivated to get back at Liquid tomorrow, for a full day on the angry dragon
And another win for NA! BDGG just defeated Mythic Dathea after 60 attempts! This locks them in World 3rd, US 2nd!
Echo is not getting to bed without the win! They just defeated Mythic Broodkeeper Diurna after 46 pulls, securing them World 2nd, EU 1st!
Liquid is looking to push their lead forward! With the first look of Mythic Raszageth we can already see a major difference!
The zones that usually slows you during the major pushback mechanic are not the same, lets see as they progress how you are suppose to deal with that mechanic instead.
With Bloodlust used on pull, their personal best is already at 90%, but with almost more than half Billion Health Points, there's still a lot of progression for them
Echo with another heartbreaking wipe! 3% right before the enrage mechanic kicked in. Let's see if they can recover and give another pull before bed time!
Liquid just defeated Mythic Broodkeeper Diurna after 67 pulls, for World 1st!
The heat is on over at Mythic Broodkeeper, but in the coldest depths of the Vault, Conspiracy just defeated Mythic Sennarth, getting them World 9th, EU 4th!
Liquid just wiped at 0.1%! Only 200k points left on Mythic Broodkeeper's health bar, this is the closest yet!
Echo is not done yet! 1.1% for them on Mythic Broodkeeper
Liquid just got an unbelievable pull! Only 0.5% left in the boss HP! Mythic Broodkeeper is going down today!
Each P1 wipe for Echo is so heartbreaking! They are very tired for sure, but they got this! Just hope they pull the boss again before going to bed.
Liquid just wiped sub 10%! This Mythic Broodkeeper encounter is just getting insane!
Echo is smelling blood in the water! 4% is currently their personal best after a heartbreaking wipe!
Echo is not willing to let this one go just yet! 6.3% is their new best!
Echo and Liquid are back at the Mythic Broodkeeper's room! The time is on Liquid's side though, because the EU squad is pushing some late hours since yesterday!
Liquid got another close call a few pulls ago, but they decided to cool it off a bit, after repeating mistakes on P1 and P2.
Meanwhile, Echo already pulling Mythic Broodkeeper again! Can this be the pull?
Echo is back at it! The race is back at full pace with the head-to-head between them and Liquid for the Mythic Broodkeeper
Liquid just got a heartbreaking wipe! 1.17% left on Mythic Broodkeeper, and that's the only thing between them and Raszageth!
Echo haven't pulled Mythic Broodkeeper since their last pull, which got them to their current best percentage of 11.9%, maybe they are seeing something that we don't?
They pretty much matched Liquid's best pull with a similar strategy, so maybe its just a matter of refining some rough spots on P3.
In some non-Echo, non-Liquid news, Aversion just joined the 3/8 Mythic gang, having just defeated Mythic Terros, after 23 pulls, securing them World 18th, EU 8th!
Liquid is not willing to give a chance for an upset, already back at it, while Echo is still discussing last pull.
I can't believe what is going on right now! Echo just responded to Liquid's best pull, downing theirs to an incredible 12%, after 23 pulls!
I honestly don't know who is going to get the kill first! But I couldn't ask for a better spectacle!
Liquid is smelling blood in the water! They are now down to 11% left on Mythic Broodkeeper HP bar as their personal best after 45 attempts.
Liquid just did it again! 13% for their personal best! But Echo is also insanely close, having just wiped at 21.7%!
This will be the closest the race have been so far, to see who gets to Raszageth first!
Liquid again, with a very close pull! 13.3% as the new personal best for the NA squad!
Our current status for the front runners is:
Echo and Liquid are head-to-head, with Liquid slightly ahead in the mayhem of the Mythic Broodkeeper Diurna encounter.
Method, BDGG, FatSharkYes and Skyline are all progressing on Mythic Dathea with different levels of progression, but Method is leading with the lower best percentage, having reached 42.5% on the boss' HP bar after 51 attempts.
Echo seems to be getting pretty consistent in breaking all the eggs! They still have to iron out the transition to P2 itself, but they are closing in!
An interesting difference between healer compositions for Liquid and Echo is that the NA squad is currently setup with 2 Holy Priests, 1 Discipline Priest, a Holy Paladin and an Evoker closing out the 5th position.
Echo on the other hand is running the same classes, but in different distributions, with 1 Holy and 1 Discipline Priests, the Holy Paladin and 2 Evokers.
It will be interesting to see who is the target for the Power Infusion from the extra Priest that Liquid got going on, and how much of a difference can it make in terms of damage output.
Echo is not willing to let Liquid open too much though, having downed their best percentage down to 51% after only 16 attempts on this crazy Mythic Broodkeeper Diurna encounter!
What an amazing pull by Liquid! They not only are back with insane consistency in the egg breaking phase, they just downed the boss' HP down to 18.9%!
With 40 attempts clocked in so far, we can maybe take a look at Mythic Raszageth in the next few hours!
Echo continues to progress on Broodkeeper Diurna. After 13 attempts, their best percentage pull is 58%
Liquid is back in the raid, preparing to pull Broodkeeper Diurna once again. Yesterday they achieved a best percentage of 27.9% after 37 pulls.
Turning our attention to US, BDGG is awake and back in the raid pulling again. After 3 pulls on Dathea, their best percentage is 69.5%. Liquid are not currently online yet but we expect to see them soon.
Taking a quick look around EU;
- Echo has taken their first few pulls on Broodkeeper Diurna. After 3 pulls their best percentage is 76.9%.
- After 28 pulls, Method is consistently seeing sub-50% pulls on Dathea, Ascended.
- Also on Dathea, FatSharkYes have a best pull percentage of 65% after 15 attempts
- Aversion is currently in Mythic+
Big progress for Method as they get Dathea to a new best percentage of 49.2%. #UpTheOrange
FatSharkYes have defeated Sennarth, joining 4 other guilds on 4 of 8 bosses down.
Echo defeated Kurog Grimtotem, World 2nd, EU 1st! They killed it in 26 pulls.
火锅超界 (Huo Guo Chao Jie) have now killed Sennarth, the Cold Breath, making them world 7th. Congratulations to them.
A new best for Echo on Kurog 5.87% this boss should fall down soon.
Aversion have entered Mythic Vault earlier today and really started their raid race. One-shotting Eranog and The Primal Council, currently on Pull 2 of Terros with a best of 39.3%.
火锅超界 (Huo Guo Chao Jie) have a new best on Sennarth of a 0.75% wipe. I expect to see them defeat it soon.
Echo have just had a new best pull on Kurog Grimtotem of 7%
Skyline have defeated Sennarth, the Cold Breath, World 6th, Asia 1st after 30 pulls.
Skyline and Huo Guo Chao Jie are also both getting very close to a kill on Sennarth. Skyline achieved a best of 9%, roughly 15 minutes ago and Huo Guo Chao Jie reached their best of 14.8% roughly 10 minutes ago.
We can expect both guilds to secure a kill on Sennarth before the end of their raid day.
Echo are back in the raid and preparing to pull Kurog Grimtotem again after spending a few hours in Mythic+. Their current best is 11.3%, so this extra gear could see them defeating this boss soon.
Method have defeated Sennarth, World 5th, EU 2nd after 9 pulls.
Method have continued onto Sennarth and have a best of 55.3%, currently on pull 3 of this boss.
Skyline are making steady progress on Sennarth, achieving a new best of 34.5% on pull 16 (currently on pull 18).
Method have defeated Terros, World 11th, EU 3rd!
After achieving their new best percentage on Kurog Grimtotem, Echo have sent their players into Mythic+ to squeeze out the extra gear and damage they need to finish the final burn of the boss.
And Method is off to the races! They've stepped back into Mythic once more and having started pulling Terros. On their first pull, they've gotten him down to 19.2%! Here's to a quick kill and a monster day from the team.
Echo ate their Wheaties and are coming on strong early this morning! New best pull of 35.6% Kurog Grimtotem.
Liquid has called it a night after 37 pulls on Broodkeeper Diurna with a best of 27.9%. Even after a late night, there was discussions by their casters that Liquid might have an early morning ahead of them.
As of ten minutes ago, Echo has started pulls for EU Day 5 of the Race to World First! As of right now, they have a total of eight pulls on Kurog Grimtotem with a best of 45.7%.
Congratulations to Chao Jie on getting World 10th Mythic Terros!
Similar to most other guilds, the kill was tight, with the floor fully covered and the boss enrage slamming.
Liquid have just had a new best on Broodkeeper Diurna with 28.17%! It's getting around midnight for them, will this be the time to start burning the midnight oil?
And Mythic Terros goes down again! Congratulations to Skyline for defeating the giant rocky boy. Terros really isn't having a good night, three defeats in the last couple of hours.
After some exciting new kills here's what everyone is up to:
- Liquid are still on break
- BDGG & Instant Dollars are running more Mythic+
- Imperative turned in for the night
- poptart corndoG stopped raiding after getting the most recent Terros kill. Some of them went to bed and others went to push Mythic+
The real question for tonight though, will we see another new best on Broodkeeper Diurna from Liquid?
Congratulations to poptart corndoG on World 8th, US 6th Mythic Terros. They defeated the boss in 26 pulls.
poptart corndoG is getting really close to the next Mythic Terros kill! Just had a 2% wipe.
Congratulations to xD for World 7th, US 5th Mythic Terros
By the looks of it, Imperative will keep pushing, as they get prepared to pull Mythic Sennarth!
Liquid just reached further into P2 on the Mythic Broodkeeper Diurna encounter! After 24 pulls and finally solving the eggs puzzle, they manage to steadily work the high HP percentage on the boss because of their strategy.
Their best percentage is currently 47.9%!
Imperative just defeated Mythic Terros after 37 pulls, securing them World 6th, US 4th!
Liquid just reached their new best in the Mythic Broodkeeper encounter! Finally breaking the barrier for the timer to destroy all the eggs, they managed to burn the boss all the way down to 62.7% on P2! They have pulled the boss 21 times already.
After 43 pulls, and reaching 56% remaining in the boss HP, Instant Dollars decided to stop progression on Mythic Dathea for now, and run a last minute Heroic split, to maybe close the gap a little bit in terms of gear.
Another heartbreaking wipe for Imperative, having reached all the way down to 1.7% of the Mythic Terros' HP bar.
What a crazy fight it is! Mythic Broodkeeper still holding Liquid's squad at the 70% mark, still to beat the enrage.
The major change the NA team is bringing right now, is a third tank! They are running double Blood Death Knights and one Protection Warrior, just showing how important the add management is for this encounter.
We haven't been talking much about it, but this is the current Tier Set status: Liquid who is currently pulling Mythic Broodkeeper Diurna, have 17 4-piece bonus active on the raid, and believe or not, their Blood Death Knight is not even with 2-pieces, but still going strong.
Echo who is still working on Mythic Kurog Grimtotem, have the same 17 4-piece count, but everybody else have the 2-piece effect working.
BDGG by the time they defeated Mythic Sennarth had the same 17 4-piece bonuses.
Method is the currently sitting at 18 4-piece bonuses active by the time they defeated Mythic The Primal Council.
And for a point of comparison, Instant Dollars are progressing on Mythic Dathea with 13 4-piece effects working.
And another break for Liquid! They stop for dinner now, but they got pretty good progress in terms of eggs destroyed, but still haven't made to their personal best again.
Another thing that is different from last time is gear wise, their characters got pretty significant upgrades, with some raiders even already committing their Valor points, and this levelled a bit the difference between them and Echo , with now both sitting at an average of 402 item level across the raiders.
Imperative is closing in the kill on Mythic Terros! They just had a heartbreaking wipe at 2.9%, after 18 pulls.
They just need a clean last phase, and they can defeat the encounter for sure!
Liquid got a shift in strategy in the last pulls, bringing more DPS players to hit only the boss, lowering their best percentage to just above 70%, but they are having problems dealing with actually matters in P1, the eggs.
They haven't matched their personal best of 2 out of 32 eggs destroyed before the soft enrage, so let's see how this new strategy will pay out for them.
Liquid is done with their Mythic+ runs, and are back at the action, currently pulling Mythic Broodkeeper
And after some pretty intense moments earlier today, this is the status:
Imperative and Instant Dollars are in the raid, progressing Mythic Terros and Mythic Dathea respectively.
Liquid, BDGG and poptart Corndog opted to run more Mythic+ runs, but they still have plenty of time to go back to progression.
Instant Dollars decided to keep the Mythic push for NA going, having got down to 69.4% on Mythic Dathea HP bar, after only 8 attempts!
poptart Corndog is back at the dusty Mythic Terros room, lowering their best percentage to 39% after 8 pulls!
Instant Dollars brought some more Mythic action to the table, having defeated Mythic Sennarth after 24 attempts, granting them World 4th, US 3rd!
Liquid just decided that the damage check in the chaotic Mythic Broodkeeper encounter was a little too much for them right now, and most raiders are already rushing to get some Mythic+ keys done.
This information is vital, because this can mean that Echo and Method's strategy will pay out for them, but the NA squad already got plenty of experience in the first phase of the encounter, and they know exactly what they need to do and what gear pieces to prioritize, something that the EU guilds will have to wait to see for themselves.
Such a close call! Liquid manage to get all the way down to 2 eggs! It will sound weird, since the boss HP were still sitting at 93%, but this is a personal best for the NA squad, again failing to beat the soft enrage timer for P2, but still in very good pace.
Liquid just got an amazing pull on Mythic Broodkeeper, going all the way down to 4 eggs remaining, still 92% remaining of the boss HP.
This pull was important to see when the soft enrage barrier is set, and we learn that you have about 5 minutes and a half to break all 32 eggs and phase the boss. This for sure will be a challenging encounter
Liquid just got a few pulls in, but I think it will be extremely important to mention that to track boss HP for this fight, at least for now, will be deceiving.
The NA squad got their personal best for Mythic Broodkeeper sitting at 93%, but they got all the way down to 14 eggs remaining in the room (out of 32), which is very close to P2 already, so lets keep an eye for when they can reach P2 since this fight is very intensive on the number of add spawns!
But EU fans, don't worry! FatSharkYes is apparently going offline for now, but they got the Mythic Sennarth encounter all the way down to 13% after only 16 pulls!
The NA action does not stop! Instant Dollars is back at the spider's den, having reached a dangerously low 4.8% on Mythic Sennarth after 24 attempts.
The next time your friend AFK's in front of the boss during a break, don't be mad, even Liquid has do deal with it, having technically just done their first pull.
The NA squad looks ready to start progressing on what can be a very challenging encounter after the recent buffs.
Mythic Broodkeeper is the only thing between them and our beloved angry dragon, Raszageth!
Echo also decided to call it a day, and are heading to a well deserved rest, having done their homework and cached up with Liquid's progression.
Speaking of the NA squad, Liquid is back after their lunch break, but we are waiting to see if they will try to push their advantage and get some experience in the Mythic Broodkeeper Diurna encounter.
And it seems like Method decided not to keep pushing Mythic today. They went instead and got a very high number of Mythic+ keys and if we can learn anything from Echo, is that this gear is very valuable in cutting corners and shaving pull counts so far.
Speaking of Echo, they are making hasty progress on Mythic Kurog, having reached 45.7% on the boss after just 7 pulls.
Liquid, who just defeated Mythic Kurog, got the encounter done after 59 pulls and they decided to take their lunch break, and come back for our first look after the buff on Mythic Broodkeeper Diurna!
Liquid just defeated Mythic Kurog Grimtotem, extending their lead after 59 pulls and getting them another World 1st!
Echo showing the power of the extra gear! They just started Mythic Kurog progression, with their first pulls already reaching 65% for their personal best.
And the gear race behind the scenes continue! Method is currently chasing that last bit of advantage they can get from high item level Mythic+ gear, and the same goes for BDGG.
For the current front runners, Echo got Mythic Dathea kill with 3 4-piece bonuses missing in the raid comp, while Liquid got it with a whopping 19 4-piece buffs active.
I think only time will tell how much this will affect the race from now on.
Echo just defeated Mythic Dathea! They secured World 2nd, EU 1st after 59 pulls, closing a little bit of the gap to Liquid
Liquid is smelling blood in the water, as they just dropped Mythic Kurog to a dangerously low 2.2%, after 52 attempts.
Echo is also closing in for the kill, dropping Mythic Dathea all the way down to 4.1%, and only after 56 attempts, still under Liquid record.
FatSharkYes just defeated Mythic Terros after 21 pulls, for World 5th, EU 2nd.
Liquid just reached the enrage hard stop on Mythic Kurog! Such a close call!
Their best percentage is now 3.91% after 48 pulls.
Imperative just defeated Heroic Raszageth after 35 pulls, securing them World 14th, US 4th.
So close! Echo just got their best percentage down to 7.2%!
The EU squad have 45 attempts on the boss, about 18 pulls less than Liquid, so will they be able to close the gap a little bit?
** 天涯 (Skyline)** is keeping the heat on **火锅超界 (Huo Guo Chao Jie)**on the Asia Realms, having tied the competition at 2/8 M for both.
But Huo Guo Chao Jie is currently sitting at a very low 6.2% as their best percentage for Mythic Terros, while Skyline has not pulled the boss yet.
Team Liquid has started the day off strong with a 12.81% pull on Kurog Grimtotem. They expect to see this boss go down soon!
Checking back in with Echo, after 37 pulls they have reached 14.76% with their best pull on Dathea, Ascended. Will we see this boss go down today?
FatSharkYes has jumped into Mythic progress and quickly dispatched both Eranog & The Primal Council. After 3 pulls, they have reached 71.5% on Terros.
As the EU guilds start breaking for dinner, we turn our focus back to NA. BDGG is still running Mythic+ and Imperative are still working on Heroic Raszageth. We haven't seen anyone from Liquid going live today. Could there be pulls happening offline? We will have to wait and see!
Huo Guo Chao Jie (火锅超界) have entered the Mythic race with their Asia #1 kill of Eranog & Primal Council.
After 26 pulls, Echo is seeing steady progression on Dathea, Ascended. Their current best pull is 37.36%. BDGG have joined Method on the Mythic+ train, searching for a few more item-level upgrades before continuing Mythic progression.
Pull 56 is the magic number for BDGG, as they down Sennarth, the Cold Breath. We will now see Echo and BDGG go head to head to see who can defeat Dathea, Ascended first.
We have a new best percentage for Echo, wiping at 44.56%. They are currently at 22 pulls
BDGG is heading back into the fight, preparing to resume progress on Sennarth, the Cold Breath. They ended the previous day with an agonizingly close 3.34% wipe after their
A quick EU roundup; Echo continues to progress on Dathea, Ascended. 10 pulls in, their best percentage is 52.41% Method is back in Mythic+, targeting a few gear upgrades before continuing Mythic progression. Aversion & FatSharkYes both appear to be continuing Heroic Raszageth splits
Echo have just pulled Dathea, Ascended for the first time in Mythic. This first pull saw them reach 69.53%
Echo have defeated Sennarth, the Cold Breath World 2nd, EU 1st after 10 pulls.
Echo continue to battle against Sennarth, currently on their 10th pull.
Method are doing Mythic+, presumably to get a little extra gear before facing the tight damage check of Mythic Terros.
Echo have just had a 1% wipe on Mythic Sennarth, the Cold Breath. They are getting very close to a kill!
Method have defeated Mythic Primal Council
Method have moved onto the Primal Council, whilst Echo are having a very strong first pull on Sennarth, reaching the last phase.
Method have entered Mythic, and have kicked off with a swift Mythic Eranog kill!
Echo have taken a pause and are discussing strategy before starting progress on Sennarth, the Cold Breath.
Echo have defeated Mythic Terros, World 4th, EU 1st after 5 pulls!
Echo have had progressively better pulls in pulls 1 through 3. Based on a clean pull, they certainly have the damage to kill the boss.
Jeathe, a former Echo player and currently casting on Echo's stream, believes that Echo has been bringing a lower geared character they don't want to use for progress to each Mythic boss (for the first 2 bosses at least) to bank loot on. Giving them more flexibility on funneling gear to the best characters.
Meanwhile in EU, Method are finishing up some loot distribution from their HC Raszageth and some Mythic+ to make use of the time, next up Mythic Vault progress time.
Aversion will also be going live shortly.
Echo is starting their first pull of Mythic Terros, after a little preparation of setups and strategy.
By defeating this boss, they will be World 4th and EU 1st to kill Terros. Also moving them to position 4 in the global leaderboard.
The pull count to beat is 5, achieved by Liquid.
Echo have defeated Mythic The Primal Council in 1 pull. They are now only one boss away from appearing on the global leaderboard.
They see a Whispering Incarnate Icon, rare trinket, drop! Without wasting time, they move onto clearing the trash to Terros.
Echo speed through Eranog Mythic in 1 pull. They move to the next boss, Primal Council.
Echo are live and wasting no time, they are standing in front of Mythic Eranog. Ready check up, lets go!
Liquid's extra pulls were worth it, reaching a new best of 28.2% on pull 39 (their final pull of the night). Putting them in great spirits and confident about continuing their progress tomorrow.
Max has mentioned that a lot of their tech wasn't working as intended on this boss, but despite that, gave big praise to the raiders for performing really well today.
Liquid were planning to have 1 more pull on Kurog Grimtotem today, then will call it and head offline. Race to World First guilds also enjoy a cheeky, "just 1 more pull".
Liquid are making steady progress on Kurog Grimtotem, achieving a new best of 35.7% after 32 pulls (their latest).
They interestingly hit boss enrage, and all seem hyped! Suggesting that the final Frostwrought Dominator mob will be ignored, and instead the boss will be burnt down to beat the enrage.
EU guilds are slowly appearing at their desks, with Method streams starting up and players grouping up for some more Heroic Raszageth.
Echo should be (according to their stream) starting their raid day at 10:30 CET (in 1 hour 20m from this post). It's very likely we see a solid day of Mythic action for them, so definitely worth keeping an eye on their streams today!
Skyline have defeated Heroic Raszageth World 9th, Asia 2nd, keeping the pressure on Huo Guo Chao Jie.
火锅超界 (Huo Guo Chao Jie) just defeated Heroic Raszageth, getting them World 8th, Asia 1st!
BDGG decided they needed a break from infinite spiders. They called it a day after 55 attempts, with 3.3% as their best percentage on Mythic Sennarth to a well deserved rest!
火锅超界 (Huo Guo Chao Jie) just had a heartbreaking wipe, with just 1.4% left on the boss HP.
It seems like the Heroic Raszageth Asia 1st title is still open to contention!
At it looks like both 火锅超界 (Huo Guo Chao Jie) and 天涯 (Skyline) are back at the crazy Heroic Raszageth encounter!
火锅超界 (Huo Guo Chao Jie) is currently sitting at an impressive 8.4% as their best percentage so far, while 天涯 (Skyline) have wiped at 9.5%.
Considering they have only been raiding for 2 days, I'm a strong believer that they can tackle Mythic bosses pretty soon.
New best for Liquid on Mythic Kurog, now sitting at 51.5% after 21 pulls.
BDGG got a heartbreaking wipe at 3.3% after 48 pulls!
Instant Dollars on the other hand, got the fight all the way down to 25.2% after only 14 attempts, but decided to call it a day and went out of the raid to get some well deserved rest.
We are not yet out of Sennarth's webs!
BDGG is getting so close, and bit by bit they are dropping their best percentage, currently at 7.39% after 45 attempts.
Instant Dollars seems to have grasped pretty quickly the first phases of the fight, currently sitting at 34.1% after 12 pulls, but if experience have showed us something, is that this fight is very dangerous towards the end, so they might have just gotten to the real progression.
Its still anyone's game in the frozen den inside the Vault!
Something changed with their strategy, as Liquid decided to go back and start with the Fire Totem for Mythic Kurog.
As for the front runners over at Liquid, they changed a little bit their strategy from before the dinner break.
They decided to switch the starting totem that empowers Mythic Kurog from Fire to Earth Totem.
We will see how this strategy pays off in the next pulls, but they haven't changed their personal best yet, as the raiders are getting used to the new movement requirements and assignments.
And in our little Head-to-Head between BDGG and Instant Dollars, we have a very different situation, with BDGG squad currently having 17 4 piece bonus active out of the 20 players in the raid, with 1 unlucky DPS player and both tanks with the 2 piece effect.
As for Instant Dollars they got only 12 4 piece effects working, with 5 DPS players only having 2 tier pieces as of the Mythic Terros kill for both.
Let's see how this difference will manifest in their direct competition for Mythic Sennarth!
We haven't been talking much about Tier pieces, but an interesting fact, Liquid got 4 pieces on all their DPS and Healer characters (as of the kill on Mythic Dathea) and only one of the tanks currently don't have the 4 piece bonus active, but have the 2 piece effect.
In a few hours, it will be interesting to see how Echo and Method will distribute theirs, and if that explains the long session of splits today.
Instant Dollars is ready to get some pulls on Mythic Sennarth, bringing the race to an interesting Head-to-Head dispute!
Can BDGG, currently sitting at 9.25% after 37 attempts pull it off, or will Instant Dollars swoop them out of the glory for World 2nd?
Instant Dollars just defeated Mythic Terros, securing them World 3rd, US 3rd after 10 pulls.
Liquid just did some pulls before dinner time for them, and we can already see some of the most complex mechanics we have encountered so far on this tier.
Their personal best is sitting at a comfortable 67.4%, but my guess is that this boss is far from being defeated.
Such close calls! BDGG downed their personal best to 11.9% on Mythic Sennarth and Instant Dollars got all the way down to 7.5% on Mythic Terros
Quick update:
Liquid is back at Mythic Kurog's room, ready for some more Mythic action.
BDGG is pushing closer and closer to defeating Mythic Sennarth.
The Instant Dollars squad is getting impressive pulls on Mythic Terros with their personal best sitting at a dangerously low 22.4% after only 4 pulls.
Instant Dollars is joining the NA Mythic gang, currently pulling Mythic Terros.
Can they catch up to BDGG and reach Mythic Sennarth today?
By the looks of it, a lot more preparation needs to take place before any pulls on Mythic Kurog Grimtotem for Liquid.
The raiders are currently doing multiple Mythic+ runs while the analysts are discussing strategies and possibly even creating or fixing WeakAuras and Add-ons much needed for the fight ahead.
BDGG is getting closer and closer to defeating Mythic Sennarth, they took 2% off their previous personal best in the last two pulls, currently sitting at 15.9% after 16 attempts total.
This fight is the perfect example to remember that this RWF is more a marathon than a sprint.
And NA keeps the pedal to the medal, with BDGG already back at Mythic Sennarth!
Meanwhile Liquid is getting ready for Mythic Kurog Grimtotem
Liquid took down Mythic Dathea securing World 1st after 63 pulls!
Do Air Elementals have sleeves? The only thing I'm sure is that Dathea still have some tricks up it!
Despite amazing pulls after the nerf, Liquid still to beat their best pull, with some close calls. It's still definitely a matter of time now.
BDGG is apparently taking a little break, but well deserved. I wouldn't want to keep looking at this spider for so long either.
Their best percentage still 17.3.%, after 12 pulls, reaching Liquid pull count, and very close to closing the encounter.
After another great pull, reaching sub 15%, I thinks its safe to assume it was a pretty significant nerf.
Liquid were already in kill range, so now its just a matter of time.
There are more good news for NA fans, BDGG just reached their best percentage of 17.3% on Mythic Sennarth
In an interesting development for Liquid, they just dropped their personal best for a whopping 7.5%!
In the middle of last pull, after a raid wide freeze we believe a hotfix was pushed, adding an extra add to the main platform, but nerfing the boss HP by about 15%, and by the looks of it, this was a pretty significant nerf, since the NA squad was able to drop their best percentage right away.
And in case you are wondering about Liquid, they are looking to reach consistency on the incredible Mythic Dathea encounter, and as they have reached 30.7% already after 52 pulls, they for sure have it in killing range.
Imperative is currently on a break, and may be back straight to Mythic, lets wait and see.
And as a last standing for EU today, FatSharkYes have some players doing Mythic+, hopefully getting ready for progression tomorrow.
BDGG is steadily progressing on Mythic Sennarth, already reaching 37.5% as their best percetage for boss HP, maybe they can match Liquid progression today?
BDGG decided to keep the Mythic train going, by heading straight to Mythic Sennarth!
They got this absolute nightmare of a fight already pretty far, with their personal best sitting at 58.7% after just 2 pulls.
Method and Echo decided to call it a day after a couple more splits and Mythic+ runs, probably getting ready for a big Mythic day tomorrow!
Imperative is also back online, but they look like they are looking for more Mythic+ gear before heading back to the raid.
Good night day 3
Today we have seen a wide variety of content and kills. We have seen mythic plus, splits, and mythic progress! It has been an exciting day!
We saw Echo finish their splits and then do some mythic plus, I would like to think that they will be starting mythic first thing.
Our guys in black and orange, Method, have been smashing every bit of content they can, heroic splits, mythic plus, crafting gear, and not to forget the real end game… spreadsheet analysis on what gear has dropped for them.
Liquid started later in the day than normal and jumped straight in mythic progress, and solid progress they have been making, with a best pull of 42.1%. Have they got a secret strat of staying up later? Did their raiders just need a good old rest after days of splits? Only progress will give us the answer.
BDGG entered the mythic race today! They knocked down the first 2 bosses with relative ease. Terros proved to be a bit more of a stone wall for them, but they took the boss down after 16 pulls, moving them to 3 out of 8 mythic.
My personal prediction for overnight is that BDGG will catch up with Liquid and join them on Dathea. I think Liquid will either be ready to kill Dathea on their next raid day, or kill it before bed.
BDGG just defeated Mythic Terros, after 16 pulls, securing them World 2nd, US 2nd!
BDGG just had a 0.5% wipe on Terros.
So, here it go, a little bit of the overall status:
BDGG is pushing really hard, having reached 6.15% on Mythic Terros after just 10 pulls!
Liquid is progressing on Mythic Dathea, having just slightly improved their personal best, down to 42.9%.
Method and Echo are preparing for the big moment, with the Orange squad pushing Heroic Raszageth and the Echo gang pushing Mythic+.
And the race is on! BDGG just got their personal best on Mythic Terros, wiping at 11.1%
Hopefully they can get a clean pull soon, because they got the damage to beat the enrage!
BDGG is pedal to the metal, having downed Mythic The Primal Council after 1 pull, joining the 2/8 Mythic gang.
Liquid is back up and running! Happy to see some more Mythic action!
Method are still working on their second kill of Heroic Raszageth while Echo are doing the last chores required, while analysts are probably running to get the loot from all the Heroic splits sorted for the raiders to start the show.
BDGG just defeated Mythic Eranog! The question now is are they going to face Terros or The Primal Council?
Liquid is awake, and ready to face Mythic Dathea for the second round!
Their best pull so far got the boss down to 43.8%, let's see how then can improve that with a rested mind and body.
Method on the other hand, is currently on their second Heroic Raszageth split, which reinforces our suspicion that everybody is pushing hard on Heroic splits to don't have to come back after they enter Mythic.
Echo is also among those lines, having decided to go for Mythic+ runs while they sort all the loot from splits.
Echo just completed yet another Heroic Raszageth split!
It's clear that they got the fight locked down, lets see if they finally go for Mythic!
Method have defeated Heroic Raszageth, World 5th, EU 2nd.
Unfortunately, this is likely just the beginning of their Raszageth splits.
Skyline decided to turn up the heat on Huo Guo Chao Jie, hitting a new best of 38.6% on Raszageth Heroic.
Huo Guo Chao Jie have a new best of 13.8% on HC Raszageth, making them the front runners in the Asia region.
Method have started their break for their evening meal as have Aversion.
BDGG and Imperative are doing mythic plus and Liquid have there warm up show going on so we will anticipate a start from them soon.
Echo is suspected to be on heroic Raszageth split 8 of 9 meaning we will hopefully see some mythic kills from them shortly.
Mythic Grimtotem and Raszageth have both been buffed! This has just made this race a lot more exciting! Neither of these bosses has been pulled yet! I estimate that this race will go over to the next reset! Will we see any more buffs?
Check out this Wowhead article for more information.
Method 10% wipe on heroic Raszageth
Echo have just completed their 6th split on heroic Raszageth, and there is going to be a happy hunter as, Neltharax, Enemy of the Sky, has dropped. This is a rare weapon and is BIS for hunters.
Method is making great progress on heroic Raszageth and BDGG and Aversion is continuing their splits.
Liquid is yet to start its live stream for the day.
As NA teams start to wake up, we see Method jump into Heroic Raszageth for the first time. We expect to see this fight a few times as they finish up their Heroic splits. Aversion & Echo are also still working on Heroic Splits
We currently have Method slowly coming back from their lunch and sorting out gear from the splits. Echo have completed their 3rd Raszageth split and we await to see what they do next. If they follow the same pattern as Liquid then we may see them do another 3 before they start their mythic progress.
Echo have defeated Heroic Raszageth for the second time, this time after only 4 pulls.
Regrouping quickly, they are preparing to pull Raszageth Heroic for the third time.
Echo have quickly gone back into another Heroic Raszageth, working on defeating the boss for the second time.
Echo have taken down Heroic Raszageth the Storm-Eater in 20 pulls, now we will see how many more they do before Mythic.
After what feels like an eternity, we do have some movement from the top EU guilds.
- Method have been distributing loots accumulated from the splits and have started looking at crafted gear, they will then likely be going into Heroic
- Aversion have been doing more Heroic splits today
- Echo have started off today with Heroic Raszageth
Guilds in Asia will be nearing the end of their raiding day. There hasn't been an Asia first defeat of Raszageth yet, with both of the front-runners, Huo Guo Chao Jie and Skyline killing Heroic Broodkeeper Diurna 24 and 6 hours ago respectively. They appear to be following a similar approach to US and EU region guilds as the teams that are still online are now doing Mythic+ or Heroic splits.
Day 4 has started with Method doing mythic plus. The Echo stream is starting up. As I predicted we didn't see another boss kill from Liquid through the night but we did some great progress from them seeing a best pull of 43.8% so well done to them.
Will we see some mythic kills from our top contenders today? Stay tuned to the Method stream to find out.
Liquid are still going strong, with a new best of 43.8% on their latest pull!
This does appear to be their best and last pull today, marking the end of their RWF raid day.
Liquid are still making progress on Dathea, Ascended, with a new best of 57.3% on their 16th pull. They have a total of 19 pulls on the boss, and are discussing between pulls on how to get their strategy locked down.
EU is still very quiet; Method are starting their day with Mythic+, whilst Echo and other EU guilds are yet to be online.
The EU Race to World First guilds are starting to wake up and prepare for (hopefully) a day of Mythic progress today. Its quite likely that we see them start with Heroic Raszageth, as there are currently no EU guilds to have defeated the boss on Heroic, so it will be interesting to see the early race strategy for EU compared to US guilds.
Do they clear up to Liquid's progress of 4/8 and return to an easier Heroic Raszageth because of the extra gear, without the downside of showing any strategy they have for a later boss such as Dathea, Ascended of Kurog Grimtotem? Or do they replicate Liquid's approach of doing Heroic Raszageth split runs and fly through the earlier Mythic bosses? We should find out today, so keep an eye on the RWF guilds today!
Speaking of US guilds, the majority have finished for today, or are close to being finished:
- Liquid are still progressing Dathea, Ascended Mythic with a current best of 61.5% with 12 pulls on the encounter.
- Poptart Corndog (Terros 39% best) are finishing their day with Mythic+
- Idiot are progressing Heroic Raszageth
- Imperative (Terros 44.3% best) have finished for today
While Liquid is starting to explore the depth of this beautiful Mythic Dathea encounter, Vesper decided to call it a day for raiding, having left Heroic Raszageth with 21.4% on their best pull, putting 52 grueling attempts on the board tonight.
Hopefully they can get back on their feet to come back with full focus tomorrow!
Liquid is trying to keep up the heat on EU, having started progression on Mythic Dathea.
Instant Dollars decided to call it a day, and what a day it was.
Idiot is still pushing Heroic Raszageth together with Vesper, while BDGG is trying to get their second loot drop as soon as possible, preparing a big day tomorrow, possibly going straight to Mythic!
By the looks of it, both Melee Mechanics and Imperative are calling a day, and going back to some last minute chores and some well deserved rest!
Imperative was progressing on Heroic Raszageth, with 21 attempts done, having reached 45.4% in terms of boss HP.
Melee Mechanics on the other hand, went to sleep with a pretty comfortable 2 out of 8 Mythic bosses already defeated, and have the option to go either to Mythic Dathea or Heroic Raszageth tomorrow!
BDGG just got Heroic Raszageth down, securing World 3rd, US 3rd after 22 pulls!
Quick update, Liquid's Mythic instance is fixed.
They are regrouping and getting ready for more Mythic progression for our delight, heading straight to Mythic Dathea!
And we have some action from the other side of the world with 天涯 (Skyline) having defeated Heroic Broodkeeper Diurna already, reaching the 7/8 mark in just 2 days of the patch being available in the Asian realms!
At this rate, they may enter Mythic in the next hours, which would be absolutely mental!
Instant Dollars on the other hand, decided not to commit to Mythic, getting promptly back to Raszageth's room for more Heroic splits!
On the other spectrum, BDGG are still sitting at the their personal best of 7.74% after 21 pulls, and hopefully they can get the last phase right, because they already showed they got the damage to bring this angry dragon down.
Good news! Liquid already got in touch with GMs and the fix should be up any minute, so they decided to commit to the multiple already formed Mythic+ parties and will get back straight to Mythic Dathea as soon as possible!
And by the looks of it, Liquid got a weird bug where the room after both bosses they have killed didn't open, which mean they can't physically walk up to the next room of the raid!
We hope they can get this fixed soon! But in the meantime they are planning on using that time for some more Mythic+ runs.
Although I'm guessing everybody wants to see more Mythic pulls by NA tonight, with more and more guilds approaching the kill on Heroic Raszageth it just means we will eventually reach a point where there is not that much gear left to be grabbed, and only Mythic will remain!
Getting World 2nd right now is huge for NA, since EU should be waking up in the next few hours, already with even more catch up to do, the pressure is on!
Instant Dollars just killed Heroic Raszageth, getting World 2nd, US 2nd after 19 pulls!
Liquid is back from their dinner break, and ready for some more Mythic action! They have the option to go for either Mythic Dathia or Mythic Kurog Grimtotem, and based on a previous exploratory pull, my bet would be Kurog for tonight!
BDGG has a new best pull on Heroic Raszageth with 7.74%. They are currently in a race with Instant Dollars to see who can defeat the Storm Eater for World Second AOTC. There is a strong chance both of these guilds kill this boss tonight.
On the Mythic front, we have poptart corndoG and Vision progressing on Mythic Terros with 39% & 55.9% as their best pulls respectively. Could we possibly see a world second kill tonight on Terros?
Instant Dollars is getting really close to killing Heroic Raszageth. It was heartbreaking 0.78% wipe, we were REALLY rooting for their Blood Death Knight to solo the last little bit.
Congratulations to Muscle Memory for World 9th & Consequence for World 10th Mythic Primal Council. Muscle Memory defeated the council in 7 pulls while Consequence downed the boss in 8.
Currently have the following guilds all pulling Heroic Raszageth:
- BDGG: 60.9% / 7 Pulls
- Imperative: 45.4% / 19 Pulls
- Vesper: 46.8% / 34 Pulls
- Instant Dollars: 55.5% / Pulls 5
- Spike Flail: 74.6% / Pulls 5
Who's going to get World 2nd AOTC? Will we see it tonight?
Congratulations to Spike Flail on World 8th Primal Council after three pulls!
Now with the EU teams heading to bed that leaves us with our NA friends for the rest of the night. Imperative have started pulling Heroic Raszagath while Liquid, BDGG, and Vesper have opted to do Mythic+. Other teams like Instant Dollars and Intern KTB are continuing with more Heroic bosses.
Day 3 Hip Hip Hoorayyy
Wow oh wow, what a day 3 we have had. Brace yourselves we are in for a long one…
We will start with guilds over in Asia, 火锅超界 (Huo Guo Chao Jie). On their opening day they have killed up to, and including Broodkeeper, making them 7/8 and World 19th which is a tremendous achievement considering they are on day 1 of their reset. It has always been my personal opinion that if we had a global release, the Asian guilds would claim world first as they are in a league of their own.
Over in North America, guilds haven’t long started their day, and yet we see 3 NA guilds dominate the top 3 bosses of the world leader board. We have Imperative claiming 3rd place by killing Eranog and Primal council with a best pull of 44.28% on Terros. We have Vesper in 2nd, having also killed Eranog and Primal council. Currently holding the top spot is Liquid, having killed 4 out of 8 bosses. That is some great work from them, well done. At the time of writing this (23:51 GMT), BDGG haven’t entered mythic.
Now, let's turn our attention closer to home with our EU teams. Our top contenders, Echo and Method, haven’t touched mythic yet. Method have called it a day and Echo are still doing splits. Will we see some EU guilds showing up tomorrow? However, we do have some mythic progress here in the EU with Tony Halme Pro Skater , Sabotage, The Next Step and Innominatum achieving 2/8 mythic. So here we have some fresh names getting ahead of last tiers rank first and second. This race is really starting to take flight, and I don't know about you, but I’m roaring with anticipation to see what happens on day 4!
My predictions are that we see Liquid make some great progress over night, but maybe not get another kill due to the fact that they are starting to get to some of the more tricky bosses in Dathea and Kurog. I also think that with Method ending earlier than normal tonight, with Echo still splitting, I would like to think that we see these top contenders start knocking down some bosses first thing. I hope Method are ready, as I know their secret weapon is.
Liquid just defeated Mythic Sennarth after 12 pulls, getting them World 1st!
The EU day is coming to an end, with a lot of splits! Both Method and Echo spent they entire day on Mythic+ runs and Heroic splits, and even FatSharkYes decided not to enter Mythic Vault just yet.
The Next Step, Imperative and BDGG are all doing splits as well, leaving Mythic progression for Liquid so far, who pulled ahead and are close to defeat Mythic Sennarth.
We are not in the clear from spiders yet! Liquid just downed their personal best to 4.72% on Mythic Sennarth.
And they are already displaying some interesting tech, with one of their healers using the Residual Neural Channeling Agent to squeeze a little bit more damage to the boss, after they inevitably reached the enrage timer.
Why does it have to be spiders? Why not butterflies?
Liquid just got their personal best on Mythic Sennarth, getting as low as 15.9% after only 4 attempts!
Innominatum just defeated Mythic The Primal Council after 8 pulls, achieving World 7th, EU 4th.
We are getting to the end of the raiding day for EU, and Method, Echo and FatSharkYes are both finishing off Heroic splits, probably already setting up for a full Mythic day tomorrow!
Meanwhile, Imperative is back on progressing Heroic Broodkeeper Diurna, and BDGG is currently in a meeting, maybe we see another NA guild starting Mythic today?
Liquid just defeated Mythic Terros, securing World 1st after 5 pulls!
The Next Step keeps on pushing, having just defeated Mythic The Primal Council securing them World 6th, EU 3rd after 8 pulls.
It looks like Mythic Terros still got some tricks up his sleeve, not going down just yet, but Liquid just pushed their personal best to 2.6%.
Sabotage just defeated Mythic The Primal Council locking World 5th, EU 2nd after 14 pulls.
The Mythic train is starting to move for NA, but meanwhile Method and Echo are still doing their Heroic splits.
It will be interesting to see how fast they will catch up with this extra gear pieces!
Liquid is catching up to the pack! Mythic The Primal Council have been defeated by the NA squad, locking them in World 4th, NA 3rd after just 1 pull.
This may be too soon to cheer, but we may have just caught the highway to leave Splitsville for good!
Liquid just defeated Mythic Eranog, securing World 10th, NA 7th.
Mythic Eranog falls yet again! This time by The Next Step, awarding them World 9th, EU 3rd after 2 pulls.
We have yet to see some Mythic pulls for EU's top guilds, with both Echo and Method currently back in the raid, but doing more Heroic splits.
On the other side of the pond, BDGG is also pushing more Heroic splits, while Liquid is doing their Mythic+ chores.
We are finally getting some well needed Mythic action with currently 2 guilds, Imperative for NA and Tony Halme Pro Skater for EU, pushing Mythic Terros!
We got some improvements, with the best percentage currently at 44.3% for Imperative, but it will be a close call since this was after 5 pulls, while the EU squad is still on their second attempt.
Tony Halme Pro Skater just defeated Mythic The Primal Council locking in World 3rd, EU 1st after 7 pulls.
Imperative pulling out an impressive performance beating Vesper best pull on their first attempt on Mythic Terros, lowering the boss health down to 47.7%.
Sabotage just killed Mythic Eranog, securing World 8th, EU 2nd after 4 pulls.
After we finally got some Mythic action, Aversion, Method, FatSharkYes and BDGG are all doing Heroic splits, in various characters.
Meanwhile, Echo is pushing some Mythic+ keys for extra gear pieces.
It seems only Tony Halme Pro Skater and Imperative decided to keep pushing for Mythic The Primal Council and Mythic Terros respectively.
And Tony Halme Pro Skater enter the scoreboard for EU!
After achieving World 7th on Mythic Eranog in 2 pulls, they quickly moved to Mythic The Primal Council having already reached 38.2% on the boss HP bar with 2 attempts.
Imperative just killed Mythic The Primal Council securing World 2nd, US 2nd after 6 pulls.
And with style, having secured them a Whispering Incarnate Icon at 421 item level, a very rare trinket.
It looks like we are getting close to more NA guilds defeating the Primal Council, with Imperative and Idiot both posting new best percentages. Imperative is at 9.54% after 3 pulls and Idiot is at 13.1% after 10 pulls.
More NA Guilds have joined the Mythic battle with The Early Shift and Imperative just downing Mythic Eranog. This makes them World 5th and 6th respectively.
Method presses pause on Heroic splits for the moment, with the majority of the guild heading into Mythic+. This could be the last set of targeted looting we see before they step into Mythic for the first time!
As the first day of raiding ends for the Asia region, Huo Guo Chao Jie (火锅超界) leads the pack having already reached 7/8 heroic. Skyline (天涯) is just behind with 6/8 heroic bosses defeated.
It will be interesting to see how quickly they close the gap to getting into Mythic!
While we continue to live in Splitsville, here is a bit of RWF trivia for you!
During Shadowlands, which DPS spec was the most used on World First kills?
The answer is Boomkin, with 65 included in the first kill of all mythic bosses. This is 15% of all DPS present, both ranged and melee!
Echo have opted to do Mythic+, and it appears that part of their strategy is that some of the loot from the previous Heroic split(s) is being held on characters up to the 2 hour trading window. This allows them to have a higher chance that the HC loot goes to players that won't replace it, maximising their looting efficiency and effectiveness.
Method's break is over, and they continue their Heroic splits, currently pulling Broodkeeper Diurna.
Echo appear to be having a meeting, so we should see their next move shortly.
FatSharkYes players continue to do Mythic+, we assume until their team is ready to return to raiding.
With today being Thursday, realms in Asia have also unlocked with their weekly reset.
The majority of guilds in these regions are following a similar approach that we've seen across the NA and EU regions, normal splits, and then presumably the next step being heroic splits.
We continue to see more Heroic splits from both Echo and Method. With other guilds, like Aversion, finishing up a few more Normal splits before hitting Heroic.
As we watch the splits and mythic plus runs, one starts to wonder, how quickly will we see these bosses fall? It currently looks like Eranog then The Primal Council will be defeated swiftly, but how much quicker than the guilds that have already faced up against them? Hopefully we will find out how the EU teams will do later today.
Method and Echo are continuing with more splits. The guild from down under, Honestly, are making some steady progress too. FatSharkYes are starting the day with mythic plus. Aversion have their stream up and are starting to raid in a few minutes.
We see Echo in their third Raszageth split of the morning and Method is jumping into some more splits.
EU are starting up their engines for their second day.
Echo are in normal to try and get a few last bits of gear, are they preparing for Mythic? What are our team in Orange and Black doing? Well I think after the beast of a day they had yesterday I would like to think that they are waking up refreshed and getting ready for some pulls. The question is, will they head to Mythic or run more splits? The Method stream is up so tune in to find out.
The majority of the US guilds have headed offline after setting the fire alight on Mythic boss kills today.
In the lead currently, is Vesper, having taken both World First Eranog and World First The Primal Council. They are the only guild so far to have attempted pulls on Terros, achieving a best of 48.4% after only 5 pulls.
Idiot just had their best pull on Mythic Primal Council of 13.1% and getting close to World Second!
Congrats to Liquid to who just claimed World First Heroic Raszageth. It took them 12 pulls to down the Storm-Eater! Hope they get some good rest after that well earned kill.
Congrats to the gamers in DMG for World 3rd Mythic Eranog and Idiot for World 4th! Each guild defeated the boss in five and six pulls respectively.
NA has gotten busy tonight! Nascent has claimed World Second on Mythic Eranog!
After four pulls, Vesper has also claimed World First Primal Council!
Our first mythic kill is in the books! Congratulations to Vesper on World First Mythic Eranog!
Liquid has taken down Heroic Broodkeeper Diurna after two pulls and BDGG not far behind them with 14 pulls!
While EU has mostly called it a night, NA teams are still going strong in their split runs. Will one of these teams pull Mythic Eranogg again before the night is over? Guess we'll have to stay tuned and find out.
After finishing more Heroic splits, Method and Echo are taking a lunch break. Some of the players taking this as a chance to do a couple of Mythic+ keys.
With splits being almost completed (surely?), I think we can expect to see some EU Mythic action later today!
Liquid just took down Heroic Dathea, joining other guilds in the 6/8 mark.
Meanwhile, Instant Dollars is back at the Vault, progressing on Heroic Dathea while BDGG is deep down the splits rabbit hole.
Day 2 Splits Boogaloo
The second day of the Vault of the Incarnates: Race to World First started a lot earlier than we have seen before with the EU servers coming up at 5am CET and what did our glorious EU contenders do… splits! The Method channel sprung to life with the glory of Kexman and Samtalkz, at the turn of the hour the splits began and Method opted to go for two runs at a time, whereas the current reigning champions, Echo, were running three at time.
Our combatants started with normal splits before going to heroic at the time of writing this, 00:42 GMT, no team has defeated Raszageth on Heroic. What we have seen is that there are now eight teams that have killed Kurog Grimtotem, including our home team Method. Bigger still we saw the heroic progression move forward once more boss as four teams took down Broodkeeper Diurna which saw three EU teams take the first three kills on her, which leaves us with Echo leading the race followed by FatSharkYes and Revolutionist. BDGG were soon to come up behind to take the 4th spot.
As our NA friends start their day we see a combination of approaches, BDGG and Imperative are doing splits and Liquid have been doing Mythic plus keys. At the time of writing this 00:42 GMT Liquid were having a meeting and then some lunch, and judging by what they're menu looks like it's going to be tasty, but not as tasty as what we will wake up to on the morrow from our NA friends.
The question on everyone's lips right now is when will we see some mythic kills? Will it be on Thursday? I personally am hoping so. But what else does Thursday bring, our friends over in Asia entering the race and we know from the past they are like Raszageth’s wind, fierce, deadly and fast. What tremendous performance will we see from them? How long will it take them to catch up? Will we see an Asian guild take world first? I guess you will have to keep an eye on the app and the Method stream for more information.
And Vesper pulled ahead!
Having reached the furthest into the Heroic Raszageth encounter, they are now sitting at 54.5% as their personal best!
While Liquid has been doing Mythic+ runs, Imperative is deep into their reclear, having just reached Heroic Kurog Grimtotem with their alt characters.
BDGG, on the other hand, got their sights set for another 411 item level pieces but Heroic Broodkeeper Diurna is standing between them and the chest.
Vesper just matched Echo percentage on Heroic Raszageth! They are now both tied in 60.1% right after the first big shield cast.
Speaking of NA, we have Imperative kicking out their raiding day having recleared most of the raid in Heroic, and with a full Normal run already in the bag.
On the other hand, BDGG is pushing more Normal runs, while Liquid is catching up on Heroic progress still, but having defeated Heroic Kurog Grimtotem already they are changing gears to focus on Mythic+ runs.
With Method and Echo closing out the day, we are left with a pretty good situation, both guilds got pretty far into Heroic already, meaning that there is more time tomorrow to hopefully some Mythic action.
We still have FatSharkYes doing some last minute rares and quests, but the ball is currently with NA, to match the progression so far, and maybe already give us some Mythic Eranog pulls?
The BDDG squad just joined the 7/8 guilds, having defeated Heroic Broodkeeper Diurna after 14 pulls.
As were getting closer and closer to the end of Day 1 for EU, we have FatSharkYes back on Heroic Broodkeeper Diurna during their reclear, together with BDGG and Echo.
Method is doing even more Heroic splits and the same goes for Liquid.
Meanwhile, both Vesper for the US, and Revolutionist for the EU are pushing Heroic Raszageth but they are still to beat Echo percentage, with both best pull percentages sitting at 64%, right after phase 2.
Vesper is still pushing Heroic Raszageth, having reached almost the same milestone as Echo, with 64% on the boss' health bar after 7 pulls.
Meanwhile, most other guilds are on various stages of Heroic splits, and the Asia Realms are the next realms to receive their patch, so soon we will be able to compare every region's strategy, and hopefully by then, we can see some Mythic action.
Revolutionist (EU-Ragnaros) were also able to overcome the Heroic Broodkeeper Diurna encounter, becoming the 4th guild to break into the 7/8 mark.
Let's see, if like Vesper they will give a shot at Heroic Raszageth
Looks like Vesper is taking on the challenge, having pulled Heroic Raszageth and currently sitting at 79% as their personal best for boss HP.
Will they be able to overcome the encounter? Living up to her name, this 4 platform fight is loaded with pushing winds and lightning and LOTS of damage, but they are ready to try, and that deserves respect.
Method, Echo and Aversion are all doing as much splits as they can as we get close to dinner break for EU.
Vesper (US-Area 52) just killed Heroic Broodkeeper Diurna joining the selective list of 7/8 guilds, together with Echo and FatSharkYes and the first NA guild to defeat the encounter.
With blistering fast progress, Liquid just killed Heroic Kurog Grimtotem, and are now getting ready to face Heroic Dathea.
Will they be able to match Echo and FatSharkYes and get to Heroic Raszageth so early in the raid day?
FatSharkYes just joined Echo having downed Heroic Broodkeeper Diurna in the 7/8 gang!
But they immediately turned around and started a Heroic reclear with alt characters, so no Heroic Raszageth progression for us.
Meanwhile, across the pond in the NA servers, Liquid is finally starting their Heroic splits while BDGG is taking a little break between theirs.
We still have a long day ahead of the NA guilds so, we hopefully may see Heroic Broodkeeper Diurna fall for them today, maybe even a new best on Heroic Raszageth?
After a couple more pulls in, Echo decided to get back again to Heroic splits, pushing their personal best to 61% of the boss health.
Heroic Raszageth then remains open to contention, will we see she falling today? And if we do, will it be before or after Mythic Eranog? I guess only time will tell.
In the beginning of Day 2 for NA, we have BDGG doing their Heroic reclear while Liquid are still to start their raiding day.
Imperative is still pushing some Mythic+ keys before they enter the raid for today.
FatSharkYes is currently progressing on Heroic Broodkeeper Diurna, pushing as low as 23%, while Aversion is doing even more Heroic splits.
Meanwhile Echo is back at Heroic Raszageth, already matching their best pull of 64% boss health.
Method just joined the front running pack, having defeated Heroic Kurog Grimtotem and Heroic Dathea lefting only the challenging Heroic Broodkeeper Diurna encounter between them and Heroic Raszageth.
Meanwhile, Aversion is back with splits and FatSharkYes are still pushing as well.
Splits, splits and more splits! Both NA and EU guilds are focusing a lot on gear, and I wonder if they are going to push as far as they did in Sepulcher of the First Ones, in the end of Shadowlands, where most Mythic World First kills were claimed with at least 18 4-piece tier sets completed in the raid group, but keep in mind that the level of power of those tier sets were way higher then the current ones, although pretty strong still.
BDGG is currently doing Heroic in NA servers, while Aversion, FatSharkYes and Echo on the EU side, are all taking a break, but may come back really soon and Method is progressing steadily through Heroic, having just defeated Heroic Dathea.
FatSharkYes officially joined the front of the pack, having defeated Heroic Kurog Grimtotem!
They are joining Aversion and Echo as EU guilds who reached the last wing of the raid, with Echo having already defeated the Heroic Broodkeeper Diurna encounter that they will have to face to get to Heroic Raszageth
Meanwhile in the EU, Echo, Aversion and Method are currently doing more Heroic splits while FatSharkYes is progressing on the Heroic Kurog Grimtotem encounter.
And the Day 2 for NA is starting! We have the BDGG squad currently doing (you guess it) splits, but they are back on Normal difficulty, and Imperative seems to be prioritizing Mythic+ currently, but it will be interesting to see what the day have stored for us!
It looks like splits are still the name of the game for EU guilds, but with some NA streams starting to pop up, it will be interesting to see what is going to be the priority for today.
Currently, Aversion together with Echo are both doing Heroic splits, Method is finishing Normal runs and FatSharkYes just defeated Heroic Dathea, joining the front of the pack but they still have to defeat Heroic Kurog Grimtotem
With splits occupying most of the day, this is the current situation for Heroic globally:
Heroic Vault of the Incarnates Updated 14/12 at 4:12 PM CET
- Echo (EU Tarren Mill) - 7/8 - Raszageth the Storm-Eater 63.5%
- BDGG (US Illidan)- 6/8 - Broodkeeper Diurna 39.2%
- Imperative (US Illidan) - 6/8
- Country Club (US Illidan) - 6/8
- Instant Dollars (US Mal'Ganis) - 6/8
- Medium (US Frostmourne) - 6/8
- Aversion (EU/DE Blackhand) - 6/8
- Grey (US Zul'jin) - 5/8
- Fierce (US Bleeding Hollow) - 5/8
- Resonate (US Bleeding Hollow) - 5/8
Aversion just defeated Heroic Dathea, after 19 pulls and are joining other top guilds in Heroic Broodkeeper Diurna.
It will be interesting to see if they pull Broodkeeper or opt to go for more splits.
Heroic splits are still at full throttle to everyone, with Aversion and FatSharkYes still progressing Heroic Dathea.
The best pull so far for Heroic Raszageth is still 63.5% for Echo, on their sixth pull.
With more guilds reaching Heroic Broodkeeper Diurna it will be interesting to see the loot priority for the 411 item level pieces and the Evoker class only weapon.
And were getting closer and closer to Day 2 for NA, and they will have some catch up to do. Echo decided to keep on Heroic splits for the time being, having recleared Heroic Broodkeeper Diurna a couple times now, while Method is still trying to get a little bit more Normal loot. FatSharkYes is currently progressing on Heroic Dathea, together with Aversion.
In an interesting development, Echo decided not to keep progressing Heroic Raszageth and opted to do more Heroic splits instead.
Meanwhile, Aversion is progressing steady on multiple Heroic splits, and Method should start their Heroic runs.
In the meanwhile, he have the Aversion squad doing Heroic splits while Method is about to finish the Normal runs they have planned and FatSharkYes should be starting their first Heroic run pretty soon by the looks of it.
We should see even more EU guilds getting to the last bosses on Heroic for the highest item level loot available for raid gear pieces outside of Mythic, so we can maybe even see Mythic Eranog progression really soon?
Right after Broodkeeper fell, we had our first look at Heroic Raszageth with the Echo squad taking the fight just below the 70% health mark, already reveling some differences from the Normal version of the encounter
Echo just took down Heroic Broodkeeper Diurna after 3 pulls.
Almost ever US guild we've covered so far is now offline, after a day 1 for them consisting of a barrage of normal splits for most and a handful of Heroic bosses for most. We should expect the start of their day 2 to consist of Heroic splits, and perhaps then we may see some progress being made by the higher geared teams on Mythic?
After most guilds spent their time in normal and Heroic, we do see 2 more guilds having a few attempts on Eranog Mythic. The lowest attempt on Mythic Eranog is still 62%.
Liquid is currently in a meeting. Once the they done finished, they will be stepping into Heroic after almost an entire day of Normal splits.
And our EU teams are off! Method are starting with Normal splits and Echo are electing to start in Heroic.
Day 1 Recap
The opening day of Vault of the Incarnates, saw something quite interesting with the way that Blizzard released the raid, all three difficulties at once, an unprecedented change to the Race to World First. The WoW community speculated since the announcement about what we will be seeing on this first day.
In short we saw splits! Three guilds were brave enough to face Eranog on Mythic, Imperative had 5 pulls with a best of 62.02%, Melee Mechanics with 70.22% and The Early Shift, who were the World First Vigilant Guardian in Sepulcher of the First Ones, had a best pull of 75.12%.
All guilds, at time of writing 02:27am GMT, are doing split runs. Liquid have three different teams running splits at the moment and BDGG are running back to back splits as are our other runners.
Currently leading on Heroic is BDGG and Imperative with 6/8 HC and no one as of yet has killed Broodkeeper Diurna or Raszageth on HC.
With the EU servers scheduled to be up in 1 and ½ hours we will see our raiding champions Echo and our world 2nd guild Method waking to jump into the Vault and see what they can do. Time will tell, stay tuned.
Imperative takes the second kill for Heroic Kurog Grimtotem after four pulls!
BDGG claims World First Heroic on Dathea, with Imperative claiming World Second Heroic right behind them! BDGG is now pulling Broodkeeper Diurna while Imperative will be battling Kurog Grimtotem.
Heroic Dathea is turning out to be an interesting boss as well, with now 2 guilds progressing, with Imperative and BDGG, with the Golden Guardians squad getting as low as 34% and Imperative reaching 28% health on the boss.
Melee Mechanics ended up starting another Heroic run, with alt characters, and it will be interesting to see if they come back to Dathea after they finish the reclear of the bosses they have already defeated.
With more guilds joining the Heroic leaderboards, we see some familiar faces with The Early Shift and Fierce having cleared Heroic Primal Council, although they haven't pulled Heroic Terros yet.
As a little outside the raid news, Blizzard posted earlier today the change to how Bind on Equip items will work on the Mythic difficulty, changing them to Bind on Pickup instead and it will be interesting to see how this can change the gold spent by World First Guilds in this race.
Imperative have improved their best pull on Heroic Dathea, Ascended down to 39%, while Melee Mechanics are also progressing in the encounter.
Liquid defeated Normal Raszageth with their main group, and looks like they are not thinking on Heroic yet, with multiple groups clearing Normal simultaneously.
As for Instant Dollars, they are still working on Normal Raszageth.
BDGG just defeated Heroic Kurog Grimtotem, and should start soon the Heroic Primal Council.
Imperative is making steady progress through Heroic, having reached 52% after 5 pull on Dathea, Ascended.
Liquid is still fighting Normal Raszageth, while BDGG just reached Heroic Kurog Grimtotem after defeating Heroic Sennarth.
Meanwhile, Imperative and Melee Mechanics are the guilds already doing Heroic, Imperative having just defeated Heroic Primal Council, while Instant Dollars and Liquid followed BDGG strategy, and are currently fighting Normal Raszageth.
And speaking of them, BDGG are following up their Normal clear right into Heroic.
With the fight lasting almost 10 minutes, BDGG just killed Normal Raszageth.
Let's wait to see what they are planning on doing next.
It looks like BDGG are starting to uncover what the Raszageth encounter have stored for us. Having wiped at around 7% after 11 minutes for the enrage mechanic, the fight is turning out to be another long end boss fight, maybe up to 15 minutes, since this is only Normal difficulty yet.
Keep in mind that the longest encounter from end bosses during Shadowlands was Sylvannas Windrunner, who took 14 and half minutes.
BDGG just reached Normal Raszageth and we're finally able to see the how the fight plays out.
BDGG is flying though their Normal splits, having reached Normal Broodkeeper Diurna and with that, the threshold for the highest item level possible outside Heroic and Mythic for raid gear pieces.
After reaching 62% after 5 pulls on Mythic Eranog, Imperative decided to go for Heroic splits instead.
And it looks like it didn't take long for the first pulls on Mythic Eranog, with Imperative and Melee Mechanics apparently scouting how the fight feels for their group, with both reaching roughly 70% health on the boss.
However, it does appear Melee Mechanics decided to go into Heroic after their first pull.
NA Servers are up and the Race to World First is on! Soon we will see who will be the first to snag a World First kill.
As expected, many of the well-known guilds have chosen to focus on heroic splits initially.
You can prepare for the first WoW Race to World First in Dragonflight by getting familiar with the new bosses using Method's shiny new Heroic Boss Guides for Vault of the Incarnates.
Vault of the Incarnates Bosses:
- Eranog
- Terros
- The Primal Council
- Sennarth, the Cold Breath
- Dathea, Ascended
- Kurog Grimtotem
- Broodkeeper Diurna
- Raszageth the Storm-Eater
With all difficulties releasing on day 1 of the race, we can expect to see most guilds spending the majority of the first day doing Heroic split raids instead of progressing Mythic.
Welcome back to our Race to World First Coverage! We are all very excited for the first race of the Dragonflight expansion, especially with a shuffle in the landscape of Guilds competing and the decision by Blizzard to release all difficulties of the raid on the same week! Our coverage kicks-off when the Race to World First: Vault of the Incarnates starts on December 13th, 2022.
