How Cyrce's Circlet Works, Gem Effects and Upgrading Item Level

Written by Roguery - 15th December 2024

Cyrce’s Circlet is a brand new ring introduced in World of Warcraft Patch 11.0.7, Siren Isle. This ring will be a BiS item, and a big incentive to interact with the new Siren Isle content.

At first glance Cyrce’s Circlet is very similar to the Onyx Annulet released in the Forbidden Reach patch in Dragonflight. However, there are some key differences which we break down here to help you understand how the new ring works, the Gems available, how to change gems and how to upgrade the item level of the ring.

Gem Slot Types

Cyrce's Circlet is a ring with 3 gem sockets, each for a different type of gem. The gems that fit in the sockets are not the regular Jewelcrafting gems of War Within, instead these new gems will be obtained on the Siren Isle, and will be of three types: Thunder, Sea and Wind.

There are 3 distinct sockets within the ring, they are visually indicated by colour: Yellow for Thunder, Blue for Sea and Red for Wind. The sockets are fixed and can each hold one of its respective gems. For example your Singing Thunder Citrine must be placed into the Thunder socket, you can only have one as they will not be accepted in the other sockets.

Each Gem type has a range of different effects that grant stats, deal damage, heal allies, shield allies and more, with 12 citrine gems in total there is quite a lot of choice.

Cyrce’s Circlet Gem Effects

Changing Gems

You can easily swap gems in Cyrce’s Circlet by just opening the normal gem interface (Shift Right Click on the item).

Clicking on a socketed gem will remove it and place it in your bags (if your bags are full it sends it in your mailbox). Moving a gem from your bags to an empty gem slot specifically for that Citrine type will socket the gem.

You do not need to return to Siren Isle to change the gems in your Cyrce’s Circlet.
