Overview of the Warband Currency System

Written by Roguery - 22nd July 2024

With the War Within pre patch we will have access to Warbands meaning that a proportion of your currencies will be able to be traded between your characters without the use of mail. We have compiled a list of all known Warbound currencies that are currently transferable.

To know if a currency is transferable within your warband you open your currency ( this can be done by opening your character pane default keybinding of “c” and selecting Currency at the bottom), on this screen hovering over a currency that is transferable will show a campfire icon to the left of the name.

How to Transfer Warband Currencies

To transfer a currency between characters you click on the currency you want to transfer and there will be an option on the right to “Transfer”.

Clicking on this will open a new window and let you transfer currency to the character you are currently on. You can’t send a currency from the character you are on, it's a one way transaction, you would need to log on to another character to receive currency on that character.

You can decide how much of the currency you want to transfer from each of your characters, and the balances for both characters are displayed at the bottom of the window. Allowing you to decide how much you want to keep on your different characters.

Warband Currency Transfer Tax

One thing to note is some currencies have a transfer tax. This means you will lose some of the currency when you transfer it.

The transfer tax is indicated in the tooltip as “Amount Lost in Transfer”, you can see this tooltip by hovering over the currency. The amount lost in transfer is the percentage of the amount you intend to transfer currency between characters.

The transfer tax will be taken from the character that you are transferring the currency from. You will receive the full amount requested, but the tax will be taken in addition to that amount from the character you transfer it from.

For example: if you transfer 1000 Soul Ash from character A to character B, character B will receive 1000 Soul Ash and character A will lose 1170 Soul Ash; 1000 from the transfer, and 170 (17% of 1000) from the transfer tax.
