Blizzard have a unique approach to launching content in Patch 11.1.5, they have decided to stagger the release to span a couple of months.
Patch 11.1.5 has 3 sets of content coming, starting with Nightfall, then Horrific Visions Revisited and finally Dastardly Duos. In this guide we outline when each of the new content releases will arrive in Patch 11.1.5, so you can then be prepared to take on this new content.
Content | Release Date |
Nightfall | April 22nd (NA) / 23rd (EU) |
Horrific Visions (Revisited) | May 20th (NA) / May 21st (EU) |
Dastardly Duos | June 3rd (NA) / June 4th (EU) |
Nightfall
Nightfall is a new world event, located in the west side of Hallowfall. The aim is to push back the remnants of Queen Ansurek's Sureki after her defeat. This event is available from day 1 of the patch. The event occurs every hour on the hour and takes around 20 minutes to complete.
Horrific Visions (Revisited)
Horrific Visions are making a return in Patch 11.1.5, with a large amount of new Transmog, Toys and Mounts to reward you for your efforts in fighting off N'zoth's corruption. Horrific Visions will become available from May 20th 2025 for NA and May 21st 2024 for EU. To start you just need to visit the Horrific Vision hub in Dornogal, which is located near the Coreway.
Dastardly Duos
Dastardly Duos is a new event coming in Patch 11.1.5, this 6 week event will start on June 3rd 2025 for NA and June 4th 2025 for EU. During this event you will be taking on animatronic versions of previous bosses, sometimes at the same time. Your goal is to gain points by dealing damage and killing bosses. As you progress through the event you will gain additional powerups to help you fight more bosses.
To start this event you will need to speak to Xyggie Marou who is located in one of the three Dastardly Duo Hubs Located in Dornogal, Stormwind or Orgrimmar. By participating in this event you can earn new achievements and boss themed transmogs.
Minor Content
Along with the three major content updates we are also getting some more minor features and content released as part of the patch.
Cooldown Manager
The Cooldown Manager is a new feature that will allow you to track the cooldown of your spells and abilities as well as your buffs. To enable this feature you need to open the game menu, then select Options, then Advanced Options and you will see the new Enable Cooldown Manager. You can then choose to move these in Edit Mode.
This looks to be a good intial alternative to weak auras to track basic class abilities and cooldowns, however, it is very limited in customization. We hope to see this worked on more by Blizzard in the future.
Winds of Mysterious Fortune
Starting from Patch 11.1.5 release, on April 22nd 2025 for NA and April 23rd for EU, we will have the Winds of Mysterious Fortune buff. The buff grants 20% Increased Experience, 100% increased reputation gains to select War Within factions and 200% to Dragonflight Factions. If you want more information on How the Winds of Mysterious Fortune Reputation and XP Buff Works, we have included how to best utilize it.
With Blizzard releasing content slowly over the patch it can be a bit confusing when stuff becomes available, make sure to check out our Patch 11.1.5 guides as we will cover all of these new events.
