Blizzard have finally revealed how players can obtain Puzzling Cartel Chips (Dinars) in Patch 11.1.5, releasing May 13th (NA) and May 14th (EU), but it has a few changes from previous Dinar systems. This guide shows you how to obtain the Puzzling Cartel Chips, where the Puzzling Cartel Chip Vendor is located and what Trinkets, Weapons and special items can be purchased.
There are a few important pieces of information to know about The War Within Season 2 version of Dinars, Puzzling Cartel Chips.
Puzzling Cartel Chips Hero and Myth Track Requirements
Another significant change Blizzard have made compared to the Bullions or Dinars of Dragonflight and Shadowlands is that you will be required to defeat the boss at least once in any difficulty in order to purchase Hero Track gear. For Myth track gear players need to defeat the boss on Mythic to purchase a Myth track item, for example to purchase a Myth Track The Jastor’s Diamond ring, you will need to have defeated Chrome King Gallywix on Mythic Difficulty.
Note: Unfortunately, the language Blizzard has used within their announcement of the Puzzling Cartel Chips is slightly unclear on if you are required to have done Normal difficulty (or above) to be eligible. This could mean that by clearing LFR you could gain up to 3 hero track items, or you may be required to have done at least normal.
Puzzling Cartel Chips Capped at 9 per Character
You are limited to earning 9 Puzzling Cartel Chips per character. With each item costing 3 Chips, you will only be able to buy 3 items per character, so making sure you select the right items will be quite important.
For help with what you should prioritise spending your Puzzling Cartel Chips on, when the system is available, check out our Class Guides.
How to Obtain the Puzzling Cartel Chips

The first week you complete this quest, you will be rewarded with 3 Puzzling Cartel Chips, in the following weeks you will be rewarded with a single Puzzling Cartel Chip. You are limited to earning 9 Puzzling Cartel Chips per character, with each item costing 3 Chips, you will only be able to buy 3 items per character.
