With The War Within Season 2 we will have the release of a new raid, Liberation of Undermine, a new set of Mythic+ dungeons and a new season of delves. This means an increase in item level for all content. In Season 2 Blizzard have changed a few things compared to Season 1, specifically the acquisition of hero track gear from Mythic+ making them slightly easier to acquire, along with a few improvements to delve loot.
The War Within Season 2 Undemine Crests
The War Within Season 2 will continue to use the upgrade system of season 1, where most gear will be upgradable with a combination of Crests and Valorstones.
Blizzard have improved the amount of Crests you obtain from keys in Season 2 of The War Within.
Delves will now reward a maximum of 18 Gilded Undermine Crests per week by completing 3 Tier 11 delves, additionally Tier 9 and higher delves will reward Runed Undermine Crests.
For Mythic+ Blizzard have increased the amount of crests earned and you no longer receive a reduced amount when failing the timer on a key. In the Table below we have broken down the crests you will receive for completing a key at specific levels.

Similar to Season 1 the last 2 bosses of The Liberation of Undermine Raid will also drop 15 additional Crests from the next highest difficulty. For example, defeating either Chrome King Gallywix or Mug’zee on Heroic Difficuly will reward 15 Runed Undermine Crests and 15 Gilded Undermine Crests.
The War Within Season 2 Mythic+ End of Dungeon Item Levels
The table below shows the item level of the reward you loot from the chest at the end of a Mythic+ dungeon based on the keystone level. The item level that drops at the end of the dungeon can be the same at multiple levels.

The War Within Season 2 End of Delve Rewards
Finishing a delve on any difficulty will always reward an item level 593 not on any reward track. However, completing a bountiful delve will grant the following rewards:

The War Within Great Vault Item Levels
The Great Vault remains mostly unchanged for the raid and dungeon section. For raids you will have to kill 2, 4 or 7 bosses to unlock the vault options, and for dungeons you will have to do 1, 4 or 8 dungeons, they have made it easier to obtain a myth track item from Mythic+.
For the raid section you will be able to receive any raid item from bosses you have killed, as well as from bosses that are before them. For example, if you only kill the last boss (Chrome King Gallywix) and another boss in the raid (to unlock a vault slot) you will be eligible for loot from all of the bosses in your vault slot, on that difficulty.
