The Skittering Breach will have you dealing with a Nerubian incursion. If you are arachnophobic make sure to enable the new arachnophobia mode, which turns all the spiders into crabs.
The delve is located in the south of Hallowfall, in the Sanguine Grasps. The entrance to this delve can sometimes be hidden on the world map by world quests. We have included the coordinates to the entrance to help you locate it.

Skittering Breach Delve Overview
This section will cover things that are relevant to all versions of the delve.
Delve Mechanic
The Mechanic for the Skittering Breach is Web Spreaders, which appear as attackable mobs throughout the delve. They do not attack you. However they spawn webs throughout the delve, and killing one will remove all webs that particular Web Spreader has spawned. Standing in the webs will cause Nerubian Casters to spawn. However, the webs are fairly easy to avoid, and we recommend not going out of your way to kill the Web Spreaders.
Delve Mobs
These are the mobs that we felt were worth highlighting in Skittering Breach. If you have already done another Nerubian delve you recognise most of them from there.
Nerubian Slasher is a melee mob who deals heavy physical damage, and who also applies a nasty stacking bleed. Make sure you kill these fast if you can.
Nerubian Threadmancer is a caster. They only cast Web Bolt, a heavy single target damage ability. They can be interrupted or line of sighted, so use this to your advantage if you need to.
Nerubian Captain is a large melee mob, who casts an absorb shield which can be interrupted. The Captain is always accompanied by some smaller Skittering Swarmers and Ankle Biters.
Nerubian Fearmonger is a melee mob who deals very little damage. However, they have a cast which will form a large circle on the ground, which if stood in when the cast finishes will fear you for several seconds.
Skittering Swarmer is a melee mob who deals light physical damage. It has a frontal charge that can be side-stepped.
Nerubian Darkcaster is a caster who also deals light physical melee damage. They cast Shadowbolt; a large single target damage hit, which can be interrupted or line of sighted.
Delve Boss
The boss for Skittering Breach is Netl’athekk the Skulking, who is a large faceless abomination.
He has two abilities:
-
Darkrift Smash is a large ground effect in front of the boss, which deals heavy damage if you are caught in it. It will also leave behind a large void zone that deals heavy ticking damage.
-
His second ability summons a Faceless Devotee. When they spawn they do a long narrow frontal, which if caught in deals moderate damage, leaves behind a permanent DoT and silences you for 3 seconds. The mob will then start channeling into the boss to increase his attack speed by 20%. This effect stacks once you get more adds, and can make the boss very deadly very quickly. Crowd Controlling the adds does not remove the buff, only killing the add will remove the buff from the boss. We suggest killing the adds as they spawn, until the boss is low.
Old Rituals
In the Old Rituals version of the Skittering Breach you will assist the Arathi Lamplighters and stop an old Nerubian Ritual. To do this you will need to defeat some Nerubians and 3 Nerubian Ritualists. The Nerubian Ritualist only does one thing, cast Forbidden Ritual. This causes purple orbs to orbit around them in a large area. If you come in contact with these orbs they deal significant damage.
Once this objective is complete you will need to kill three Faceless Devotees, who are channeling Dark Abatement. This cast can not be interrupted, but CCing or displacing them stops the channel and allows them to cast Shadow Bolts on you instead. There is no reason to stop the channel, just kill them where they are.

Shadow Realm
In the Shadow Realm version of the Skittering Breach you will notice a lot of dead Nerubians and a Shadow Portal. By clicking on the Shadow Portal you will be transported to the Shadowrealm (one we can thankfully return from).
Once in the Shadowrealm you will see a box and some Lamplighters. Interacting with the box will grant you an extra action button called Light’s Mantle, which make you dash forward a short distance and dispel shadow pools on the ground. The whole delve is covered in these shadow pools and you will need to use the extra action button to move about. It has 3 charges and a short cooldown.
The first objective is to destroy 5 shadow totems. These totems are attackable, however any nearby shadow pools will shield them, so you need to use the Light’s Mantle to remove the pools before you can kill the totem. Be careful as the totems have a frontal cone ability which deals heavy shadow damage and knocks you back.
Once you have killed all 5 totems you can start the boss. As an added bonus his Darkrift Smash puddle can be removed with the Light’s Mantle, but be careful to not accidentally dash off the edge of his platform.
