The War Within: Herb Milling and Pigment Guide

The War Within: Herb Milling and Pigment Guide

Written by Roguery - 10th August 2024

The War Within inscription profession is much the same as the previous expansion’s version of Inscription. The general overarching system of milling herbs to produce pigments, then turning those pigments into inks and finally creating items and reagents remains the same in The War Within.

One very nice change is how simple they have made the pigment system, with most pigments being named after the herb they come from.

Because it's not always clear which herb you need to mill in order to receive each Pigment, we have included a table to break down what herbs produce which pigments and which of the 2 inks they are used to make.

Herb Pigment Ink
Mycobloom Nacreous Pigment Apricate Ink
Luredrop Luredrop Pigment Apricate Ink
Orbinid Orbinid Pigment Shadow Ink
Blessing Blossom Blossom Pigment Shadow Ink

All pigments come in 3 ranks and the rank you receive will be based on the quality of herbs you chose to mill, your inscription level and knowledge point choices.

Note: the rank of herb will NOT increase the amount of pigments you receive.
