As you progress through your journey in Dune Awakening you will quickly find that your personal inventory storage size becomes a limiting factor in your ability to farm resources. So you might be wondering if it's possible to increase your inventory size?

If that's all you want to know, we won't waste your time - the answer is no, you cannot increase your personal inventory size in Dune: Awakening.

However, there are a number of different storage options in Dune Awakening, some mobile, some not. In this short guide we dive into some of those further so you can understand how best to leverage the storage options available.

Quick Links:

Base Storage

One of the core solutions to a lack of personal inventory capacity is of course to ensure you have extensive base storage. As soon as you set up your sub-fief, you can start placing storage units down. The game offers the following (oddly named) options:

  • Small Storage Container - 10 Slots, 250v
  • Chest - 20 Slots, 750v
  • Storage Container - 45 Slots, 1,750v
  • Medium Storage Container - 100 Slots, 3,500v

Pro Tip: You can offload items from vehicles to storage without actually removing them from the vehicles first! Interact with one of the storage containers in your base and look at the drop-down menu above your personal inventory on the left side of the screen. You can change the 'inventory source' to any vehicle within your sub-fief.

Vehicle Storage

Given your limited personal storage capacity, you will quickly find yourself relying on vehicle storage for pretty much all of your resource & crafting component farming needs. It's also critical to have some solid vehicle storage when it comes to moving base. Your options for vehicle storage are as follows:

Sandbike Storage

One tier available (Mk2) which offers 250v. This will be useful in the very early game but as soon as you get a Buggy and/or Ornithopter, you will no longer make use of this.

Buggy Storage

Now we're talking. Buggy Storage starts at 1,500v at Mk3 and increases in 500v increments to 3,000v at Mk6. Buggy storage is useful throughout the entire game because the Buggy can mine huge quantities of raw materials and ores which fill up it's storage pretty quickly.

Ornithopter Storage (Scout + Assault)

The real MVP for most of your mid-late game storage requirements is actually the Scout Ornithopter. It only has one storage option, at Mk4, which offers 500v but this nimble flying machine will be your best friend in the Deep Desert.

This might seem low compared to the Assault Ornithopter's 1,000v storage but the Scout Ornithopter is so much faster than the Assault Ornithopter that unless you are moving base or doing large cargo trips, you'll typically be operating the Scout Ornithopter and switching between Booster (to reach your target) and Storage (to fill it up with resources).
