Whenever a Spirit is placed in an 8 yard range of another spirit, they blow up, dealing moderate damage to the entire raid.

Make sure to keep them spread out, because several spirits touching can lead to quick deaths.

Strategy

Just like Bloodbound Horror, this boss brings only one change compared to Heroic, however this ability is more punishing. That being said, if you are familiar with the Heroic strategy, you should have no issues defeating this boss without any preparation.

The main thing that you need to remember is that the entire fight follows one pattern:

  1. You will get 2 sets of Charges (Phase Blades) followed by a Decimate.
  2. Then you get 1 set of Charges and a Decimate right after.
  3. Lastly, Shattering Sweep is used.

This repeats until the end of the fight.

Phase Blades Formations

There are 2 formations that you can use based on your preference. Both have their own strengths and weaknesses.

Wide Formation

Using the wide spread will ensure that there is a much lower risk of accidentally popping another spirit and inflicting additional damage to the entire raid. With this formation, you are placing the Spirits next to each other in a line, and the 2nd set in front of the Spirits from the 1st set. It also makes it easier for people to spread when targeted by Decimate.

The main downside of using this strategy is that you will cover much more space with Puddles, which makes the room tight towards the end, and you will likely miss some spirits with Decimate, which will result in harder hitting Shattering Sweep, but this damage can be mitigated with raid cooldowns and personals.

Square Formation

Mythic Sikran Square Formation Placements

Using the square strategy you will have a much easier time hitting all the spirits, as they will be way more stacked; this also means that Shattering spears will not be powerful, because you will have less leftover spirits. You will also save more space because the spirits are placed more tightly together.

The downside of this is that it’s very easy to clip spirits because you are putting them closer together, which can result in additional raid damage.

You also might encounter issues with players targeted by Decimate clipping each other by standing too close.

Whatever strategy you decide to use here is your personal preference, the boss doesn’t have a tight DPS check, so it is unlikely you will end with no space before the boss dies, even if you have several deaths.

Tanks need to make sure to angle the boss properly on both strategies to make it easier for others to hit the spirits with Decimate.

Mythic Sikran Square Formation Decimate

One last thing to remember is that the 2nd Decimate happens right after 3rd Phase Blades (so 3rd charge), so there is no time to position yourself before it; players who just dropped spirits, need to get away from them as soon as possible to avoid getting hit by the laser.

Healer Cooldowns

Healers, pay attention to the following scenarios unfolding.

If the team has missed several spirits and you have Shattering Sweep incoming, using proper raid cooldowns can compensate for it.

It also works the other way around, that if the team plays extra clean and hits all the spirits, you may want to avoid overusing some cooldowns and save it for the next sets of Decimate, just to play it safe.
