Best Vigour Relics

Relics are entirely utility focused in Fellowship and they mostly aren’t unique to specific heroes so it allows for a lot of change. While you can use any relic, there are a couple that are considerably notable and arguably the best of the bunch in a general sense.

S-Tier Relics

Sinbinding Stone - Grants 15% damage reduction to yourself and nearby allies for 15 seconds on a 3 minute cooldown. This Relic is extremely powerful, particularly on some of the harder bosses in the game, and crucial to have as you progress eternals.

A-Tier Relics

Grimoire Of Resurrection - A simple combat revive. It has a small cast time with a 5 minute cooldown. Great if your party lacks the ability to revive someone during boss combat.

Chalice Of Al’zerac’s Essence - Returns 30% of your maximum mana. Vigour only really has mana problems early on in the game while you’re primarily using mana costing spells, so this trinket loses value the more you gear and get access to your talents.

Ancient Wardstone - Instantly dispel all harmful magic effects from yourself and allies on a 2 minute cooldown. This can be extremely good in some dungeons depending on how you’re pulling.

Saltwash Elixir - Instantly heals you for 40% of your max hp on a 2 minute cooldown.

Ancient Poultry Fetish - Turns your target into a chicken permanently. This cannot be used on main bosses, but can be used on boss adds making some fights easier to manage (last boss of tuzari/wraithtide). This relic really shines when used to eliminate difficult trash mobs in any given pull, or to entirely negate the Empowered mob affix. Be warned though, any mob that is turned into a chicken will give 0% towards your kill count. It has shared uses by the party on a 3 minute cooldown, so choose wisely what mobs you want to chicken.

B-Tier Relics

Orb Of Shadows - Party wide invisibility for 15 seconds on a 6 minute cooldown. There aren’t too many notable uses of this but it can be strong if you plan around skipping packs with this.

Bloodrite Drums - A 12 second, 50% move speed increase for you and your allies. Not much use for this one.

Humming Portalstone - Opens an interactable portal. You can only have 1 of these active at any time and there is a short cooldown on how often you can take the portal. It has a 2 minute cooldown. With coordinated play it could be useful but for most it’s not a great option.

Best Vigour Weapons

Vigour actually has a couple options when it comes to weapons depending on what you prefer. In most cases, as long as you and your group are surviving, you’ll be grand. Certain dungeons have some extremely challenging bosses to heal, and as a result, increasing our throughput with a weapon can be very valuable.

With this in mind, and given the fact most of you are pugging and won’t have a choice in what dungeon you land in, here are what I believe to be the best Vigour weapons:

Zeraleth's Compendium - This weapon deals massive amounts of pure single target damage that converts to healing on yourself, and any over healing is converted to party healing. The healing this provides is partially negligible but can reliably keep your tank healthy during the weapon channel.

History Of The Faelight Gardens - This weapon offers a strong balance of damage and healing, striking up to four targets while providing a powerful burst of team-wide healing. It excels in situations requiring both AoE damage and sustained group recovery.

Ancient Iceshapers Tome - Recommended for maximizing healing throughput. Although the weapon lacks direct damage, its utility in negating healing checks makes it a dependable option—especially valuable when facing the Emissary affix.

Weapon Traits

Due to the random nature of Weapon Traits, it can be a game of cat and mouse trying to get the ideal weapon tree. You have two offensive rows, two defensive rows, and a major capstone, with multiple options in each row for different pathing up the tree. With that in mind, you can start to see how gaining access to a "BiS" set-up might prove tricky. Don't be afraid to use some materials to reroll Traits if you need to.

Below I'll separate and list the ideal weapon traits for each type.

Major capstone:

  • S tier = Heroic Brand, Brave Machinations
  • A tier = Martial Initiative, Visions of Grandeur
  • B tier = Diamond Strike: Amplified, Sapphire Aurastone
  • C tier = Ruby Storm, Amethyst Splinter, Emerald Judgment

Offensive Traits:

  • S tier = Inspired Allegiance, Hidden Power
  • A tier = Vengeful Soul, Navigator’s Intuition
  • B tier = Hunter’s Focus
  • C tier = Patient Soul, Willful Momentum

Defensive Traits:

  • S tier = King of the Hill
  • A tier = Divine Mediation, Heart of Stone, Latent Resurgence
  • B tier = Treasure Hunter’s Delight, First Man Standing
  • C tier = Grounded Spirit

Set Bonuses

Set bonuses have the capacity to be extremely powerful. Different dungeons drop different sets allowing you to farm your best in slot bonuses. Ideally you’ll only want 4 of your gear pieces to be set bonuses and the rest socket pieces (because of how strong gem power is). This allows us to retain access to 2 separate set bonuses at any given time in our BiS set-up. Below I’ve listed the two most important set bonuses you’ll want to acquire for Vigour.

Torment of Bael'Aurum: This is the cheat-death type effect from Wraithtide. This set is super valuable for healers as your life is extremely valuable and anything that can help keep you safe from heavy damage is a huge positive.

Draconic Might: This gives your critical strikes a chance to increase your Intellect by 18% for 15 seconds. It has a roughly 25% uptime so it's a lot of main stat at any given time, making everything you do far more effective during this buff.

Legendary

On Vigour you have 2 main legendaries that you can swap between depending on what you value.

Ancient Lightshaper's Cloak Of Ceremony: This Legendary makes your Circle Of Light drop a circle on the ground for 5 seconds that reduces all damage players take by 10% while inside. After this 5 seconds the circle deals an additional heal for 50% power to all who remain within. The ability to increase your parties effective health pool on such a short cooldown in combination with your shields is insanely powerful. This legendary is a must for end game pushing!

Treads Of Resplendent Dawn: This effect causes your Dawnflare damage to heal players with an active Rune Of Renewal for 60% of the damage dealt. While the healing is modest, it provides consistent, passive sustain. Additionally, each cast of Dawnflare gains a stacking cast time reduction buff, allowing for fast ramping casts. More Dawnflare casts result in increased Rune generation, which in turn generates substantial healing through Greater Heal

Stats

The Stat priority for Vigour is as follows:

  1. Item level / Intellect
  2. Crit = Expertise
  3. Haste
  4. Spirit

Item level is king in Fellowship as main stat has the greatest effect on your damage, healing and survivability.

Critical Strike has the chance to double the effectiveness of our damage and healing which is already very strong, however it also interacts with Rune Of Renewal healing and Rune generation.

Expertise increases our damage, healing and absorb effects, making it essentially perfect for Vigour, particularly later on when Luminous Barrier becomes more of a primary spender for survival

Haste lowers your cooldowns, GCDs and makes your casts shorter. In essence, you cast more and generate more runes.

Spirit decreases the cooldown of your ultimate and gives you a chance to refund spells and generate runes. As of right now this only affects Vigour’s mana costing abilities so it’s a pretty bad stat unless that is changed.

Gems

The Gem System in Fellowship is fairly unique. You can obtain powerful gems to attach to sockets in your gear, which gives you Gem Power that enables different Gem Bonuses. There are multiple Gem sizes that provide you with more Gem Power. You can combine 3 of the same gem type and size using Gem Fusion (Master Craftsman Braggi NPC) to create a gem of the next size up.

It’s worth noting that some socketed gear can additionally drop with a 35% gem power increase (100% for a Legendary). This makes it so you’ll want to prioritize socketing higher quality gems into these items. For example, Legendaries come with a 100% increased gem power socket, making it ideal for your larger gems.

Gem Types & Bonuses

The Gem types each follow a pattern of the type of bonus they provide, a simplification of the Gems is shown in the table below.

Gem Type Gem Bonus
Ruby Main Stat / Boss Combat Buffs
Amethyst Critical Strike
Topaz Haste
Emerald Expertise
Sapphire Stats during Ultimate Ability
Diamond All Secondary Stats

Vigour Gem Priority

The early game Gem priority for Vigour is the following:

Amethyst > Ruby > Emerald > Topaz > Sapphire > Diamond

Later on I'd recommend primarily a mix of Amethyst and Ruby, aiming for at least 6 nodes of gem power in Amethyst before moving on to Ruby. Outside of Ruby you can grab a mix or Emerald, Topaz or Sapphire.
